Redskins Insider - Mike Shanahan stands behind Perry Riley
"He's gonna learn as time goes on," Shanahan said. "But that effort he gave was full speed. "You're gonna make some mistakes, especially when you're young, but his mistake was full speed. That's part of the NFL. That's part of the growing experience." Good call IMO |

Amen and AMEN!! Peyton Manning will be in the Hall of Fame as a QB. Nevertheless, when his OL cannot protect him and he is working with average to below-average receivers and has no running game to speak of, even a Hall of Fame QB will look mediocre. The 2010 Redskins OL stinks. The 2010 Redskins WR corps is average on its best days. The 2010 Redskins running game is sub-standard. Even Peyton Manning could not QB this team to a 12-4 record.

Re: Vikings vs. Redskins Gameday Thread
I noticed nobody talked about the new wildcat formation with Banks; thought I would try for a change of scenario by bumping this thread (I'm not sure if this is that important enough to create a thread).. I was surprised to see the new plays, Banks looked so fragile - I always hold my breath and hope that he will not fumble every time he touches the ball. And yet he's so fun to watch.
I give Shanahans some credits for being creative, as well. |
