Re: Those Burgundy Colored Glasses May Need Cleaning - Sally Jenkins

Guess I bleed burgundy or wear glasses or whatever. Overlooking the fact that we lost 5 of 6 games by less than a score is bush league journalism. Why do we have a Washington Post writer so bent on trash talking? Was it the seat fiasco of a year ago? When I was growing up the Washington Post didn't trash the home team. Sure they laid out the facts and we knew when we were done, but honestly, realistically we're not outta anything yet. Sally needs to find another city to talk trash about the Redskins in. This year has been better than the previous 13 or so since Gibbs left. There is a team mentality, there is always hope, there is Gibbs. In 1 game this season, ONE, 1 game this season we didn't have a chance. 1 friggin game. Wasn't lopsided like many a Spurrier loss or hopeless like we've seen under Tony Banks or Shane Matthews or Wuerfell. Brunell beat Dallas in Dallas on Monday night while the Cowboys were swearing in Aikman, Smith and the weed smoker. That's Redskins history and none such would have been written if it weren't for coach Joe Gibbs and his staff and the hard fighting players. Gibbs has already resurrected my 'Danny' decline attitude and yes I do think things are still possible this postseason if we continue to play hard. 2 games back with Dallas and NY playing each other Sunday. We must beat the Rams and Cards and then if we beat DAL, NY and PHILI we're prob looking at worst a tie for the NFC EAST. Hope you eat crow Sally and it's obvious you were not living in the area during Gibbs' first tenure. Thinking the Cowboys or Giants have the division locked up is ridiculous at this point. Sure I'm not expecting Super Bowl victory this season, but it is still possible. Let's go SKINS!!! God bless Joe Gibbs and go to hell with your defeatist BS Sally Jenkins!!!
