Don't forget although things seem fine now Patten did start to fall out of favor with his complaining last season, that may or may not have significance this pre-season, regardless if he wasen't happy about how he was used last season he will have a real problem this year.

we wont know for sure till pre-season starts cranking but it's alway's fun to speculate.
Lloyd and Randle El were brought in to play. I think Patten would be fooling himself if he thought anything different. From that sounds of that recent article, he's already accepted his role with the team, whatever it may end up being.

If he's marginally better, he doesn't bump anybody out of a starting job. He'll have to make heads turn to bump somebody.

If we run more 3 WR sets this year like it seems we will, the #4 is bound to see plenty of snaps anyway rotating in to keep guys fresh. It's not going to be like last year when we ran 2 WRs most of the time.

Like you said we'll see how it goes.
