Re: Skins sign Yoder?

This tells me that our coaching staff thinks our O-line is a bigger issue than our corners. I knew someone was going to be gone this week but i thought we would certainly pick up a nickel corner. Who knows. You deff have to trust in Gibbs. With the two great seasons our D has had, it would be easy to overlook problems. Pearson's injury is really going to sting unless Adam can learn to cover. We REALLY need Sean to play his role in run stop. I noticed on most the Vikes longer runs that Sean was arriving very late because he was way down field covering some 1.(like a blanket i might add) Still not concerned here. Going to take a few more weeks till O starts rolling, and boy will they!

Re: Skins sign Yoder?

Well last night we needed help on the blanket cover and I think you'll see Taylor help with Glenn and TO Sunday night. Cause we got burned. Sure it'd help to have him stopping the run which I think he did a decent job of Monday, but without Springs and a Ryan Clark we have deep coverage issues. The O will end up rolling but we must rely on ball control running to win more than trickery and Brunell telegraphing to the HB after much awesome movement by the rest of the team!

thusfar its looking like we needed a WR, kickers, and some depth and the offseason was a vast over-reaction...

but i'm still waiting a couple weeks to see how it shapes up. Springs needs to get back in there though.

John Hall is fine. Sure he missed the kick, but many many many fundamentals missed before the last few seconds. If ya want we can break it down to $ per day and positive/ negative play...
Cause I guarantee ya Snyder's boys have a chart for that!
Signed Tom Cruise...
I think cause he was in Risky Business, not cause he shagged Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman or Emilio Estevez.

come on lux. john hall is either hurt or missing kicks and you want to cut him some slack, but andre carter has 1 bad game and you are ready to get rid of him. hall has about worn out his welcome here

Re: Skins sign Yoder?

john hall was 2-3 last night. didn't hear andre carter's name 1 time and all I've heard since signing him is he's a beast! it was a question and didn't say anything about releasing him. Just asking peeps if they think he's a beast or a bust! ESPN has much worse questions and makes even worse assumptions about teams or players than I did in that case! As of now I've seen nothing from Carter except that he he was traded by Mike Nolan and the Niners...

Hall was 3/4 for the record.

As for Carter, too early to tell. Let's talk in November.

We needed a 3rd TE. Right now, Yoder is better than Ortega. Nobody wanted to sign another receiving TE (like the FA from DEN) in the offseason. As for Hall. I guess he deserves another shot especially since there aren't any obvious decent Ks available.

I like this move. A lot. Special teamer and blocking TE. He's not a long term solution, but it's a good signing.

Re: Skins sign Yoder?

hall is 3/4 and he made 3 kicks from < 27 yards. that's not exactly impressive. he hasn't made a 50 yarder in what? 2 years?

Re: Skins sign Yoder?

This may have already been brought up but I'm too damn lazy to go back through and look for it. But, does anyone remember the game against TB at FedEx back in 2003? Brad Johnson kept dumping the ball to Yodder and he absolutely killed us. If he can have that kind of success for us a couple of games a year I'd be really happy.
