Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
its all about the corporation....snyder caters to big spenders, the corps...they buy tons of tickets and give them away...to people who don't care... i mean look how well other teams travel at fedex...there are always tons of opposing fans there...
with 90,000 you ahve to fill the stadium...and you are filling it with less religious fans, and those who can easily afford to spend 100 per ticket- ie not worried about getting their money's worth.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
It seems that every home game this year has been a nail biter and won (or lost) in the last 4:00 or so.
Minnesota - missed field goals at the end of the game. Tennessee - [Sorry - I seem to have a complete memory blackout and cannot remember anything about these 3-4 hours of my life, but people tell me it was close all the way to the end] Jacksonville - one of THE most exciting games I have been to at FedEx Dallas - THE most exciting game I have been to at FedEx Carolina - Long pass with ~4:00 to go to finish the game. We had people leave early too. I just don't get it. For the money I am paying I am staying for every last minute.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
Well I left early because I my friend wanted to beat the traffic getting back to Beltsville. I understood why he wanted to leave because we had a ride ahead of us. I didn't want to leave and if I had drove I probably wouldn't have left early. After he threw the pick, we were out. He apologized to me in advance that if they come back and win after we left. Listening to the game over the loudspeaker, by the time we finished our trek from section 401 I heard they had the ball so we stopped at the tv's because Washington had the ball. After watching it and looking through the tunnel out to the stands he saw my face and apologozed again. Pissed, I said it's ok because I understood why he wanted to get out. By the time we made our walk to the car the game was over, I then heard about an interception that Sean Taylor made that I didn't see, I just sighed and lit one up and listened to the post game show. My sister is the same way, I love to stay the whole time though because it isn't often that I get to go.
I have a question though, do you all feel the same way about people who get to the game late ?

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
No sweat! That's one less drunk I have to avoid running over when I'm trying to leave (after watching the game in its entirety) FedEx Field.
I get more annoyed by the Redskin season ticket holders who sell their tickets to the opposing team fans.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I can't speak for season ticket holders because I have never been one. All I had to do was hold the engagement off for another year and I would've had them ! I'm so not a fan ! But if I had season ticket's I would hit every game. I'd be able to be one of those tailgating regulars. Meeting up with the same crew before and after the game. I HAVE to get them before I start having kids....please give me a boy 1st.
Oh yeah back to the topic, I wouldn't give/sell mine to another fan unless they were talking some ridiculous number. Then again, fuck them, they should be Skins fans anyway !

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I have been at all the home games this year and at every one some people left early...no matter what the game they always get up and leave early. At the Dallas game as soon as the Redskins missed the first kick they all got up and when Vanderjadt was lining up even more got up and left. There were probably a couple thousand people making their way down the ramps that missed the crazy end of the Dallas game. I see so many people at the games who just treat it as an afternoon out...I can barely peel myself out of my seat after a tough loss and there are other people in Redskins jerseys smiling and walking out as if nothing happened.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
It's rediculous...it's amazing how many of the people in the games don't seem to care. You can't even call them season ticket holders becasue in my section there are only a few people I see every week. There are different people in the seats next to me every week. I don't think the real season ticket holder has been to any of them.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I've seen games at Giants Stadium, Fed Ex, RFK, and old Veterans Stadium in Philly. Fed Ex is bar none, the most difficult stadium to get to. I actually left my tickets at home for the Cowboys game, and after realizing and turning back, I didn't get to my seat until Marshall tackled Jones for the safety midway through the first quarter, so I have more sympathy now for those arriving late.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
Okay I wondered. When I go to games I try to treat them as I would if I was home. When I'm home I watch the whole game win or lose and if I go of course I want to see the whole thing. I almost cry when they sing the National Anthem before the games, MAN THAT CHEERLEADER WAS CUTE, and she could sing pretty good. Was it me or did she mess up ? Anyway, It's wild when the game is starting and there are so many empty seats. But you have traffic, cleaning up after tailgating going on so you can see where it comes from. Luckily my sister works in an office with a couple S.T.H.'s and they'll give here their tickets from time to time.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
The game obviously means more to some than others, fans oftentime leave before conclusion when they prematurely feel the game is lost. We noticed from our section many people leaving, but we've witnessed it happen so many times before. For us, it's not over till it's over, we always stay to see what the end's going to be.
