Which is somewhat misleading because the jump in skill I believe has been gradual. He didn't play all that much as a rookie behind Walt Harris, and in 2006 when everyone in the secondary was terrible, Rogers probably had the best season of any of them (although, what is that really saying?). The biggest jump, I believe, came from 2006 --> 2007, when Rogers beat out Shawn Springs and Fred Smoot for the No. 1 CB role on opening day. Gregg Williams doesn't just put anyone back there at CB and hope for the best.

I think we all had tempered expectations this year following the injury, but it appears that the surgery went perfectly and that Rogers is going to be a shutdown corner in this league.

And if Rocky continues his development, Jason Campbell isn't the only guy who is going to need an extension this season.
