Re: We need sacks!!
Yes. Daniels is one of the best at knocking down passes and playing against the run. I know he wants to come back next year. He said he would help keep the other team in third and long and then Taylor could come in and do his thing. When he retires I'd like to see the Redskins keep him on as an assistant coach on the line.

Re: We need sacks!!
Better since batted passes can turn into defensive TD's (right Pete Kendall?).

Re: We need sacks!!
I would like to see a little more pressure on the QB. However, it seems like GB defensive scheme is working. I think, as the season goes on GB will do more blissing with CH and DL.

Re: We need sacks!!
I am oh so tired of not getting to the QB and not forcing turnovers. It's really bad. I know points allowed is ultimately the most important defensive stat, but sacks and turnovers are momentum/emotional type plays that can swing games, especially at home when it fires up the crowd that much more. We have to find a way to get better. Never settle, keep improving, right?

Re: We need sacks!!
I have been saying this for years its the differance between being dominant and making it through the playoffs or just being a good team. WE NEED MORE SACKS!!!! and right now we are lame when it comes to getting to the QB.Yes batting a ball down is good but its not a sack you lose a down not yards and a down. But I still think our D is good and are team better than I expected but a good passrush would make alot of our games MUCH easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Because if we cant get to the QB now just waite for the playoffs when the teams are better. If your happy with things now your not thinking of the BIG PICTURE and the future.

Re: We need sacks!!
We play the run first which means we suffer in the sacks department. If you watch AC you'll see he plays containment first. We also don't blitz much.

We have a good enough secondary to blitz a little more.

Re: We need sacks!!
You know, alot of us wanted to address this in the draft. Now I'm not sure who we would have ended up selecting or how they are doing at this point, but I still I wish it could've been addressed. Before the draft we had several discussions about whether a D-lineman or a tall WR was more important for this team going forward. I remember arguing then that our WR's were sound, and that depth could be better addressed in the FA, and I think that has proven true. Im not saying Kelly or Thomas will never amount to anything, I hope they do, but I don't think we ever needed more targets. Our position players are skilled. We need Lineman like crazy on both sides of the ball. Our O-line can runblock but the Passblocking is still a little suspect. And our D-line is a joke when Pass-rushing. I agree that if anything holds us back this year it will be the lack of a passrush. The good news is this team is only a few key players away from being elite IMO.

Re: We need sacks!!
James would have had a sack yesterday, but flagrantly being held by an OL that resulted in a penalty against the Lions.
