Selig is such a douche haha

Quote:
Asked by Tom Boswell about McNabb, here's what Selig told reporters, according to the Post's Mark Viera:

"I don't know; it's baseball. Goodness gracious, I'm a football fan -- this is Opening Day. If you really want to know I'm going to give you a brutally honest answer. I got up at 5:30 this morning and did my daily workout. And I was watching an unnamed channel and that's all they were talking about. I turned it off, that was my reaction. My goodness gracious."
Redskins Insider - Selig not thrilled with all the McNabb talk on Opening Day

Trust me, the residual McNabb coverage was way better than what went on at Nationals Stadium today.

Selig is still a douche and baseball still blows.

I find it hilarious that an offseason NFL trade upstages the start of the baseball season. That says a lot.

I love baseball and I grew up in RI so I am a big fan of the Red Sox but with that said it just gets old when it is a two or three horse race every year. Seriously if the Orioles or Pirates won the world series that be a bigger upset then Butler beating Duke.

The season is to long and not enough parity. I do love sitting back on a hot summer day on my deck with a small TV drinking a beer and catching a game. When I retire I will definitly get season tickets to the team closets to me at the time, it be like my job, give me something to do.

I was kinda hoping we give the new FO at least a year before the "idoit" talk would begin....

Or maybe let them get through the draft?

According to an espn analyst McNabb was in the weight room before the media this morning working out. Getting ready for Philly? Well i know we have at least two prime-time games this season.

i'd say we end up with the maximum number of prime time games allowed. do we play the vikings at all? i think mcnabb/redskins vs. favre/vikings would be a great story.

Skins do play the Vikings this year. We're finalizing the primetime schedule

Re: McNabb a Redskin! (Part II)

that will certainly be a great game, although i am very scared of the vikings. unless favre finally hits the proverbial wall, i see the vikings as the team to beat in the NFL. Chalk that one up to a loss. If I were a betting man, i'd say we beat the Eagles twice, though.

Ok, now that we have McNabb which no one thougth would ever happen we might as well pick up T.O. since they have made up. Remember when T.O. first showed up to the Eagles they were the dynamite duo. Connecting all over the field and putting up all kinds of numbers. Imagine how it would look in Kyle Shanahan's pass happy offensive scheme.

It really could...so strange to think about.

Think how painful it will be for the Eagles and their fans if we can make the McNabb/Owens combo into a winner!

Skinsguy;

Quote:
the Redskins have not had a franchise QB since Joe Theismann (and some may argue that he wasn't necessarily a franchise QB.)
This made me laugh. I remember living those days and don't remember even remotely thinking Theismann was a franchise QB. People wanted him traded out for better QB's. But one could say that about all of JGibbs QB's. He seemed to get the most out of QB's. Doug Williams was not even looked upon as a franchise QB, hell Tampa got rid of him cause he didn't live up to their expectations. Their loss our gain.
