I think it's funny that If I look back I'm "re-hashing the past" but everyone else is free to pretend McNabb will be Elway. News flash, We don't have Terrell Davis, our star runningback is a guy I like but the REST of you guys treat like an 80 year old has been. Every time i make a positive post about CP people act like I'm him under an alias. Then there's the fact that Elway wasn't taken from another team and his offense was only tweaked with better players and ... you know what. if you wanna dream, dream away. As for "Relax it's not even draft time yet and we made a major improvement to the most important position" i beg to differ. What we've needed most is our O-Line issues to be handled and THAT has not come to pass. You compare us to the 2 time winning Broncos? This is more like Kansas City when they picked up aging Joe Montana and aging Marcus Allen and expected that to be enough. Yeah, I'm gonna be 'glass half empty' guy until we have a solid O-Line. Dream on |

- So by your logic, the Skins shouldn't have signed Rypien to an extension and kept him the starter after a SB MVP season? Don't get me wrong, I liked Stan the Man, but that's just crazy talk. - Rich Gannon - outside of the 2000-02 seasons his career was pedestrian at best. So the Skins should've been able to identify that he would have those great seasons 6-7 years prior and with no indication by his previous play. - Trent Green - the Skins did try to resign him, but he went for a more lucrative contract with the Rams. So the Skins overpay for players and they're damned, they don't overpay and they're damned. - Brad Johnson's SB win had a whole lot more to do with the TB defense than him. Quote:

We have the #4 pick are will likely go with Okung, a potential franchise LT. If not a possible trade down and we'll still get a starting caliber LT. There's a lot of time between now and training camp and I expect moves to upgrade the OL. Quote:

Re: Campbell will now stay away from Redskins Park
Every time I read that post of his about our former QB's it sounds like a rehash of things that I've read from ES over the years from idiots and the sheep that say YEAH!!!!!! At least I hope that wasn't his original thoughts. Glad that you actually took the time to break down each one.

-Trent Green happened to be a free agent while we were under an ownership transition (just our luck that he spends 4 years carrying a clipboard as a 3rd stringer, then has his monster year just as we're changing owners) -Rich Gannon I don't think was even in the league the year after he played with us. And he had 3 TDs and 7 INTs with us! Other QBs with 3 and 7 seasons for us? Danny Wuerffel and Heath Shuler

The past suggests that high compensation trades usually don't turn water into wine, but since McNabb is ironically the savior that JC wasn't, I don't feel like this should be too much of an issue. After putting some thought into it, I wasn't sure that McNabb could survive obvious attrition issues, but I'm now pretty confident that if anything goes wrong injury-wise, he can just heal himself.

Re: Campbell will now stay away from Redskins Park
JC would be a up grade for the Raiders QB situation. I just hope we get a least a 3rd pick for JC cause we have no F***ing draft picks this year.

At this point, I would take the success that Montana had with KC. We are coming off 4-12 and dead friggin' last in the division again. I will say it again, we haven't even had the draft yet and there are months left in free agency. The o-line will be addressed. Is there any evidence from this offseason that they will not address the line? Just be patient. I think we are fine at the runningback position. We have 3 talented guys with something to prove. That is a good situation. |
