Re: Offseason predictions
I know a lot on here disagree, but we need to go after OL and DL in the first and second round. The last 2-3 years, OL and DL have been given more priority in the draft, and we need to make our move early. Shoring up the OL with really good young guys will give us the continuity we need along the line for years to come. Average running backs put up All-Pro numbers behind great lines. Look at Mike Bell when he was in Denver for an example. In the latter rounds, go after the BPA no matter the position. There will be alot of talented players available late in FA that we will be able to get cheap to fill the rest of the wholes.
Players I think should be cut/traded Galloway Heyer Docker Rabach Hicks R. Williams Beck Sellers Portis Carriker Haynesworth Holliday Doughty Buchanon |

That is why I said those are the players I would cut. And teams have released double digit number of players before. They don't all have to be released/cut. Some could be traded. Some of them would be worth 5th -7th round picks. |

AH is the only one from your list with any trade value.

Re: Offseason predictions
Cut them all. Use the 1st and 2nd round pick for a RT and Center. Shore up the OL as best we can with young talent. Bring in a bunch of UFA's. We don't have crap now so whats the harm? get younger and healthier and faster.
Look for a NT in FA and late in the draft (5th round). Pick up a FS, and LB late in the draft or FA. EDIT: I forgot WR.... pick up Vince Jackson and Whosyourmama. Cut Moss. |

None besides haynesworth are worth squat. One of our only 2 16 game starters on that list we swapped 6th round picks to get. We got rid of double digit guys last year. I just dont see us doing it two years in a row. The talent just isnt out there to upgrade on that many players. If they are on the market, that MOST likely means that their original team didn't value them that high. |

Re: Offseason predictions
Heyer: Keep him
Docker: See if you can trade him, will be tough though. Rabach: Cut Hicks: Cut R. Williams: Cut Beck: I'd keep I guess Sellers: CUTTTTTTTT Portis: Keep Carriker: Keep Haynesworth: Sigh... Holliday: Cut Doughty: Cut Buchanon: Keep Many of these guys weren't meant to be long term fixes anyway.

Re: Offseason predictions
I believe Carter is gone. They tried to do an already failed near-experiment with him, and it failed.
Rocky - given Mike's inability to accepting rebuild, I think there's a chance he stays...at the right price. Rabach - I damn hope they saw how much better Monty was than him and Lich couldn't be much worse than him at center. Also, we need space for a TRUE GUARD, not 2 converted centers at G and yet another center. Golston - gone, I hope. He can't emulate Ngata. They deserve the label "incompetent" if they still keep him and still run the 3-4.

Re: Offseason predictions
Woah! Wait why do people want to cut Carriker? I mean I don't watch him on an every down basis, but, with his size and skill set, I think he's one of the few pieces that fits the 3-4 on our team. I'm pretty sure its Gholston and Kemoeatu that suck.
And Buchanon as well as Holliday are good enough to stay IMO. What do you all think of Lorenzo Alexander as our OLB opposite Orakpo.
