Re: WFT Wild Card Pre-Game Thread
Hopefully Brady will be distracted.
Someone has started a petition on change.org complaining that a company that he owns got a small business stimulus check and it should be given back. (It had over 33k signatures when I checked.) I had a hunch and checked it out. Sure enough, the guy who started the petition is from just outside of Boston! What a bunch of "ungratefuls", which is what I found when I lived up there from the mid '70s to the late '80s. |

Re: WFT Wild Card Pre-Game Thread
Per Keim:
Sources say Smith will be inactive. David vs Goliath.

I'm a tad surprised Smith is inactive. But if he's not far removed from the way he looked throughout most of last week's game then him being inactive may have been the right call. Smith could barely move and step into his throws last week. It was clearly evident in the second half. It was tough watching him in the second half. It would be coaching malpractice to play him tonight if he's in the same or similar condition as he was last week. I expect a heavy dose of running and play action. The Bucs will have to respect the read option as well. |

Alex inactive Heinicke starts. An injured Alex wouldn't have given us enough against the Bucs. Let's hope this quarter we saw from him was no fluke!!! HeiniKEYYYY Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk

Re: WFT Wild Card Pre-Game Thread
My feeling is the team knew this several days ago but kept the Bucs guessing

Re: WFT Wild Card Pre-Game Thread
I’ll be rooting hard tonight especially with no Alex smith ,we are definitely up against it now for sure ,but we are still trending in the right direction but we need to get a freaking quarterback this off season weather it’s a high draft pick or free agent or trade but we must do something because are QB situation is probably the worst in the nfl by far it D Watson was serious about a trade I would give Houston are first rd pick straight up.

Re: WFT Wild Card Pre-Game Thread
Well, it's hard to say that this is not the best decision considering how he looked in the previous couple games. Tough luck that Alex wasn't able to stay healthy this year.
This team / staff has battled through a lot this year, and RR has them believing they can win every game, which says a ton considering how the QB position has played out all year. Even if they don't win tonight, it's been such a successful season. I didn't have them in the playoffs to start the season, but after about week 4, I was like - why not? Now it's Heinicke, who has thrown a total of 77 NFL passes - against Brady, who has been in 9 Super Bowls. I'm hoping for a Championship type effort from this D, and just enough from this O, because I'm just not ready for the season to end. |
