Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
I would go into this game with the intent to rest everybody who is nicked up (Portis, Moss, Washington, Daniels, etc.) We have the depth to do that and still win this game. I'm not saying this is a bye week, because the Cards are a good team this year, but I think we're good enough and deep enough to win without jeopardizing the health of our "playmakers". They need the rest. The O-Line....well not much we can do there but play who can play.
Tim Rattay is not a threat against our defense. |

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Tim Rattay?
Puh-lease. In back to back weeks we've shut down two of the top passing attacks in the entire league. There's no logical reason why we should be concerned with Tim Rattay. |

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
I think whether it's Warner or Rattay at the helm, or even Leinart for that matter, nobody on the Cardinals is the biggest threat to us at this point. After the first six weeks, I think we've shown that we are an excellent team, and the only way you're going to beat us is if we fail to cash in on opportunities and we just flat out beat ourselves.
I honestly think that only the Patriots and Colts are better than us at this point. For every other team in the league, I think we come out on top if we just hold on to the damn ball. I'm also assuming that we can get Wade and Rabach back in action. From what I've seen so far, we're our own worst enemy. We have a chance to be an excellent team if we just hang onto the ball.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
The Cards' pass game are going to struggle against our defense.
I think we will probably win this game big, and the offense will look like they did in the Lions game, but be careful, this team is not completely void of talent. I think Edge will have a big day against us, maybe 100 yards and one TD. Won't be enough though if we score a lot of points and deny the pass.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
The Skins can't take any team for granted. We are too nicked up, and dinged up, both physically and mentally. Hang on to the ball, make good decisions, let your defense play tough and win ugly. THEN get healthy, because the Patriots will kill us if we are not ready.

But look at the NFC. The Bears are terrible, Minnesota is incredibly unbalanced, the 49ers have underachieved, the Seahawks have underachieved, we already beat Philadelphia pretty good this year. We just dominated the Packers offense and clearly outplayed them on the other side of the ball. They are widely regarded as the second best team in the conference, and we just went in and made them look awful. Dallas, who is widely regarded as the best team in the NFC, looked terrible in Buffalo two weeks ago and got embarrassed on their home turf this week by a clearly better team. The only team in the NFC that can say they are better than us right now has to be the New York Giants, who beat us pretty good at home. Even with them, at the end of the year, do you really think they will be playing better than us? I don't think they will They are right now...but so? Nobody can defend our passing game right now and nobody can move the ball on us. Yes, we still have to get some kinks in the offense ironed out before we are an elite team, but I have been pleasantly surprised this year. I didn't think going in that our defense would be absolutely shut down and I didn't think our passing game would make some of the league's better pass D's look irrelivant out there. Despite some tough losses, how can one not be encouraged? I'd rank us 6th in the league right now based on what I've seen.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Honestly this game scares me. Rattay is not that bad. I remember he came in last year for TB and he went off on somebody. He's going to get a full week of practice and Boldin is going to be on the filed this week. We better not overlook this team!

Arizona is a good team, and should not be overlooked. With that said, they are going to struggle throwing against our defense, and let me assure you right here the offense is going to have a heck of a game through the air. Adrian Wilson is a player, but he doesn't have very impressive range. Their secondary is pretty iffy overall. Good front seven, another hard day for CP and Betts, but Campbell gets it done again. 28-13 Redskins.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
I'm sorry but Rattay is not good, unless you define good as journeyman backup QB. He's not even in the same class as someone like Kitna.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Of course he's good, he's in the NFL...
However, he is not scary after our D has handled Green, McNabb, Manning, Kitna, and Favre thus far. Gimme a break. |

All this guy has done is played pretty good football whenever given the chance. Considering the amount of bad QBs (like Joey Harrington) who keep getting their chances, I'd say this is a pretty important issue. Why is not getting an oppertunity always a black mark against a guy?
