Re: Haynesworth trade possibly in the works
I need to hear this from Shefter and Glazer first.
La Confora (how ever you spell it) is trying to create buzz on a hunch.

Everyone knows Schefter is the best media source for all things Shanny. Pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if Shanny said, "hey Adam, float this one for me and I'll make sure you're the first in the media to get juice on the team." Either way, Albert has flat out robbed the Redskins. If he gets traded, he'll have been paid $32M for 12 games. That's $2.67M per game. LOL. What a shitshow Cerrato and Co were.

And everyone needs to realize that we won't be a full-time 3-4 this year. In fact, if I had to guess, I think 4-3 will still be our base, with occasional 3-4 look thrown in. We just don't have the personnel and draft picks to become a base 3-4 right away. It's got to be a gradual transition.

I honestly feel AH really wants to go down as, The Badest M-Fer to play the game and his pride wont let him have the word "BUST" attached to his name. He is an ALPHA DOG. I so agree with you on the unbolded statement.

If Haynesworth is traded for a second round pick or whatever, we will have gained draft picks, as Synder will have essentially bought whatever pick we get for 28 million dollars or however much we've paid Al to date. Maybe you don't like this if you are Snyder's financial adviser, but as a fan I don't see how you can be anything other than happy that we are gaining a high draft choice we wouldn't have otherwise had. |

Then why are sources telling him about us looking at Green as a possible replacement? I tell you what if the Lions do go for AH and still draft Suh we are going to be in a world of hurt in Sept when they play again in Ford Field. I have seen the Skins play the Lions the past 3 games up here in Detroit, and we have only the 2008 win to our credit, and we almost blew that one!!! I hope it is all some sort of hype job, but I don't think it looks good if AH cuts all the voluntary stuff out. Any serious player would want to get a head start learning a new scheme and just hainging out with teammates, learning plays ,etc. Yeah, you can say it is still voluntary, but it is a new scheme, etc. If I was a player I would want a head start boning up on it. |

Re: Haynesworth trade possibly in the works
Why do you guys keep saying AH is worth a second rounder. What we have spent on him alone is worth more than a second rounder. We just paid him 21mil already, thats 2years and half of B.Marshalls new contract.
Al's play on the feild speaks for itself. All this for a voluntary workout for 3 days come on,until AH speaks out about this. I will chalk this up to off season boredom. Shanny wont be around that long if he waste Danny boys money just because he wants to feed his ego.

Re: Haynesworth trade possibly in the works
I pulled this info from another site but i can't find the link tho interesting comments nonetheless.
I talked to Jim Haslett and he plans on using me like they did with the Titans. He?s talked to a couple of Titans coaches and former Titans coaches and that?s what he said he?s planning on doing. Just kind of letting me loose and letting me play the game.? Of course, with new coordinators come new changes in how the game is played and Haslett is no different. The type of defense Haslett employs is a 3-4 defense, a defense Haynesworth is not familiar with at all, yet he is open to it looks forward to playing it. ?At first I was a little iffy to it because I?ve never played in the 3-4. I don?t have a clue to how it?s really played. But then I talked to him a little bit and he plans on just playing me in the middle a little bit and at end. I guess I?ll just move around and just wreak havoc; so as long as we?re doing that and I?m not just at one position, I?m fine, I?m fine with it.? |

Beyond the Athlete: Albert Haynesworth Part*II - Beyond The Athlete - Back Sports Page Sounds like they want to run Haynesworth out of town, which is stupid. Sure you want team unity but Haynesworth already had this on the books before any of the Skins plans were underway, the guy was getting ready before anyone even knew what the offseason plan was. He was still going to show up to the voluntary minicamp but I'm guessing that something around the park made him change his mind, he said it was to avoid distraction due to the media access, but who knows. Chasing him out because he isn't being your whipping boy is stupid. A 2nd rounder isn't good enough for a guy like Haynesworth. People bitching about Haynesworth jerking off are silly since he's been working out for awhile now. It's like a comp security firm being mad that you chose to do an internship with the DoD instead of them and holding that against you when it comes time to get a job. Dude's gonna play all out this year whether it's with us or not. Looking at his stats on PFF he was number 4 last year, if penalties weren't part of the total ranking he'd be number 2, this is of all NTs and DTs. |
