Re: Predict Our Front Seven Starters For the 3-4
He'd be useful for 2 years tops, but yeah, could help us in this apparent "win now" project.

Re: Predict Our Front Seven Starters For the 3-4
As I said in post #25, I am confident that Blades can be a quality starter. He's a lot like Fletcher in physical makeup and skillset. I hope he plays as hard as Fletcher and becomes the player he could potentially be.
When I say I want McIntosh back, it's mainly for depth. He has a lot of talent and can fit in somewhere. Beyond our starters, we're very thin at LB.

Are you talking about the HB Blades that's on our team? I don't think I'm seeing the same thing you are when he steps on the field. He's hardly someone I'd feel comfortable on the starting 11.

Re: Predict Our Front Seven Starters For the 3-4
I've seen a few comments about safeties, Lendy Holmes is a reliable safety and a great back up/special teamer. I think we are fine for this year with safeties.

Re: Predict Our Front Seven Starters For the 3-4
I agree, I liked Horton's intensity & his talent for "being-in-the-right-place" and then making plays. A couple of bad plays (ie. highlight reel touchdown pass interference)... But hopefully a year older & wiser (?) may produce a quality safety..

The Skins may still grab Donte Whitner from Buffalo to play FS. Campbell could be involved.

Re: Predict Our Front Seven Starters For the 3-4
How can anyone say were okay at Safety? We have no true FS (after Taylor passed) and 3 decent Strong Safeties. It's absolutely foolish for anyone to think that Horton and Landry will both be starting opening day.

Re: Predict Our Front Seven Starters For the 3-4
If the team goes to a Cover-2 Defense, they could better utilize Horton and Landry together. Of course, both of them would be responsible for deep coverage on their side of the field. Picking up a speedy linebacker who can cover would be huge.....hint....Jamar Chaney...hint..hint.
That's my hope at least, that would help out if they do go to a Cover 2 'D', or a Redskin-2 Defense. |

Re: Predict Our Front Seven Starters For the 3-4
We might not even have a front 7 this year. It could be a front 8 on 1st down, and a front 6 on 2nd and 3rd down.
With Buchanon, I think we play a lot of nickel this year, and Landry may be more of a linebacker on 1st down. |

And a 6 man front? You mean with 2 LB's creeping up towards the line? 2nd and 3rd? or situationally at times on 2nd or 3rd? |
