The Redskins are not a nation and the Cowboys are not terrorists, they are just teams that you root for for a couple hours o na Sunday afternoon. Win or lose the Redskins have zero impact on my life, so why would I beat someone up over them?

but the rowdy violent nature that some drunk male fans display is a product of the NFL marketing imo.-OTM

I also agree with this. Lets feed you alcohol for six hours and then entertain you with a violent sport. "Oh look they have turned on themselves, shocking!"

Yep when ppl get drunk they act like they can whoop anyone's ass.. Sad that kids actually have to sit there and see that shit.

OMG, thank goodness someone else feels like that -- you watch the game, try to enjoy it, don't get so emotionally invested in it.

NFL games are not for families. They are for guys who want to get away from the wife and kids and get drunk and rowdy. I'm not saying I like it, cause I dont but any notion of NFL games being a family outing is just wishful thinking.

And also when I get away from my wife and kids Iwant to just get drunk and rowdy, what are we cavemen?

Probably 95% of the folks at the game create a family atmosphere it is the 5% that ruin it for the rest. I don't go because I don't want to deal with the 5%.

IMO if the stadiums up the security and too ka hard stand on fighting and drinking the 5% would easily dwindle to manageable 1%.

My experience at games say about 95% of those is attendance are cavemen and like you since I dont want to deal with them I dont go. The last thing they want to do is cut back on the cash cow that is beer sales.

These teams have built up the idiotic notion that the fans are the 12th man and part of the team and the fans actually take that stuff seriously. Why would anyone be surprised that the 12th man, fueled by booze, gets jacked up and violent?

You raise a good point in that respect. I think it goes back to what I was saying earlier. We as adults should exercise personal responsibility. But, those who do, usually don't go to the games.

I have a sneaky suspicion my girlfriend might be getting me Redskins tickets for the Giants game the day after New Year's. If so it will be my first Redskins game ever live! But, if so, I'm kind of apprehensive in going if what I've seen in these you tube videos is what I am going to have to deal with.

I'd say its probably more like 99% make it a family atmosphere. Thats only 5 rows back, 5 rows foward, 4 rows one way and 5 the other. Thats a small section and if you have one ass in that space you will know.

Screw old people when they think they can do whatever they want. The guy was being completely self-defensive.

And should'nt be at Pro games!Look these asswipes are at every stadium Giants, Jets, Pats, Eagles....Dallas etc.Look I'm a grown man and I like beer or 2 once in a while but these guys and like it or not most of them are young ...just don't know how to behave or how to hold their alcohol.
Iwill be at the Giants-Redskin game this week first time at the new place and I'm not really looking forward to it becuase ....well we knew everyone in the old place and their kids ...hell we got Xmas cards form most of them but these seats are all new and in different areas. Son inLaw is a Marine and scheduled to deploy in March and he is a big Redskin fan so I'm taking him to a game in NY ....which he has never been to before so it should be fun.

Thats the sad part. A good amount of the people in question are over 30, some even have kids of their own.

I'm at college right now, and trust me when I say EVERYONE shows up wasted. Plus college kids are poor and can't afford too many $9 beers. Alcohol being sold would not change much.
