Re: Around the NFL week 7
Definitely, I still think it's very unlikely. But to me it was a moot point if we were still waiting for the league/owners to do something based on this investigation, like if there was anything really bad that left them no other choice they would have acted already.
But if it becomes a more political issue that's a new parameter in the equation. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk

Re: Around the NFL week 7
You can spin the numbers any way you want, bottom line is would anyone here really turn their nose up at going 12-4 or 15-1 and getting to a SB, even if its sandwiched between some losing seasons? Get outta here.

Around the NFL week 7

Spinning or stating them exactly how they are? He was 3-5 in the playoffs. He had 3 winning seasons out of 9. How is that spinning? Lol. When he had a great team he was successful. When he had average or even good teams he lost more than he won. Of course anyone here would take a 12-4 or 15-1 season. Anyone anywhere would. Doesn’t mean Ron Rivera is the guy who is going to do it. I guess we should hire Doug Pederson. He won a superbowl. Come on Matty. I do not think he is the guy. Doesn’t mean I think he is the worst coach ever. Let’s give it time though. We can have this conversation again in a couple years. |

I promise im not cherry picking and i have no narrative. I want anyone involved with this team to succeed. Period. I believe he was an under achiever too. 6 out of 9 seasons he was a loser as a HC. I believe he had a good enough team to do better than that. We just disagree. I hope you are right. I hope RR rights the ship. |

Re: Around the NFL week 7
Of course nobody would turn their noses up at 12-4 and 15-1 and a SB appearance. But to me the real bottom line is he had one of the best QBs in the league and some very good teams but still only produced 3 winning seasons. If that's what he did with talent, he's got no chance here.

Re: Around the NFL week 7
We have to combine 2 good years, by our standards, to get to 15 wins.

Re: Around the NFL week 7
What is it w/ you guys w/ helmets? I love what the Ravens are doing. Their operation is so damn solid. Year after year no matter how many injuries they just seem to overcome it all and keep winning. You have to respect the hell out of them. But I can't actually root for them.
Maybe one day we will get a QB that can put the franchise on his back when needed. I feel Jackson has become that player for the Ravens. |

Re: Around the NFL week 7
True. And consider that to get a better coach in future (assuming RR can't get above his average to date), then you need an attractive team/organisation. Someone of the same calibre as Blichick, Reid, Tomlin, or even a younger guy like McVay are not going to set foot in the building unless they have the prospect of a winning season inside 2 years all but nailed on. Unless they're a complete masochist of course.
