Re: Chase Young #99
yep, we were lucky Dak was out all season or else we wouldn't have even come close to the division

Re: Chase Young #99
Enough clues were there that things weren't quite what they seemed with the defense and the team overall. Look at some of these wins last year.
Week 7: 25-3 over Dallas. Andy Dalton and Ben DiNucci at QB. Dallas was 2-4 at the time. If Dak was healthy, who knows. Probably a much different ball game. Week 11: 20-9 over the Bengals. Burrow was balling before he got hurt. Finley came in and was terrible. Bengals were 2-6-1 at the time. Week 12: 41-16 over Dallas. Andy Dalton at QB. Dallas was 3-7 and in a free fall. Week 13: 23-17 over Pittsburgh. Legit good win IMO. But Pittsburgh seemed due for a loss and hadn't been playing that great coming in. But hey, there were 11-0. Again, legit solid win. Week 14: 23-15 over the 49ers. Nick Mullens at QB, enough said. SF was 5-7 coming in. Week 17: 20-14 over the Eagles. We know the story here, Hurts gets pulled inexplicably, Sudfeld comes in and is terrible. Philly was a bad team, 4-10-1 coming in. I think it's safe to say that if Dak played in both of those games, we probably lose at least one of them. If Burrow doesn't get hurt, we perhaps lose to the Bengals. And if Hurts plays that whole game, we again could have easily dropped that one too. Not crazy to think we were close to being 4-12 and completely different expectations for this year. |

Re: Chase Young #99
Young seems to have regressed......he doesn't even have 5 sacks so fat this year.....knowing what we know now Justin zHerbert would have been the more impactful pick.

Re: Chase Young #99
I apologize if someone said this already but CY is following Orakpo's path, only quicker. Orakpo came in like a ball of fire and after two seasons he started relying on one move and started relying on the Refs to call holding.
Young seems to be doing the same thing, one move if it doesn't work he quits on the play IMO |

Re: Chase Young #99
I don´t know about that. Yes, he has more impact for the Chargers than CY has for us. But are we sure that he wouldn´t just be downcoached and left alone here, too?

Re: Chase Young #99
CY today “y’all just wait and keep watching”
also when asked about his offseason commercial shoots during OTAs and minicamp: “I was making money, baby. Gotta make that money. None of y’all would’ve ducked the money. At the end of the day it’s a job. You feel me? Just like y’all do your job, I do my job.” It is a job no doubt and I can't blame him for making $$ but he is clearly not as dedicated to the game as we all thought he was.

Re: Chase Young #99
Ouch, this will hurt our defense for the running game, not so much for the pass rush tho. Maybe Young will learn something while watching games from sidelines this year.

Re: Chase Young #99
Yeah it will definitely hurt, he’s a stud in the run game. We’ll see if the guys can step up this week

Re: Chase Young #99
I expect he'll rehab like a beast and be eager to prove the doubters wrong next year.
