Any word on Santana or Springs? How bad are they? Rock and Alexander could do a decent job, but only if we have Moss in their.

How are people saying that Sellers should be the replacement? He can't hit the holes as quickly or slide through nearly as well. Plus can he even handle carrying the ball that many times? He's not the 265lb'er in the CFL anymore.

From the otherwise disgusting Peter King about Romo:
I think this is Romo's health status as of this morning: Talked to Romo on Saturday, while he was on his final two days off of a bye week, and he told me, naturally, that he would definitely play against Washington on Sunday night at FedEx Field. But it sounded like he'd be affected by his partially healed broken right pinky finger. The break is just below the top knuckle on his right little finger, and he'll play with a splint on it.

"It won't be all the way healed,'' he said. "It's still probably a good two or three weeks away from that. I don't know where it's exactly going to be, healing-wise, in Washington, but my timing will be fine.''

The key is whether Romo will be able to throw a hard 15-yard out. Any quarterback who can't throw a liner to the sidelines is going to be a detriment. "I had to throw one of those this week,'' he said. "I'm not going to lie to you. There was pain when I threw it. But I can take the pain. If I've done it once, I can do it again.'' Romo also told me the finger "has gotten healthy enough so I could take a hit on it.'' We'll see.

Don't worry. If CP can't go Malcolm Kelly, Devin Thomas, and Fred Davis will pick up the slack on offense.

Not.

Oh, I don't think it's impossible for them to possibly have a good game this sunday.. Well, except for Kelly obviously.. But Thomas and Davis, it might be their chance to prove themselves.. They rarely have a chance to show themselves because of the players above them.. I'm pretty sure Thomas have done well when thrown to.. He might be over aggressive w/ blocking or whatever sometime.. But how can he learn if he does not make any mistakes?

I think the coaches have done a poor job of having a couple of plays designed to get them into the action. Besides that reverse (which did not work) what other plays have we run were the ball was going to them?

I'm officially off the Devin Thomas bandwagon. Like most Mich St. receivers, he runs poor routes, and in the NFL, he absolutely can not run by anyone.

I am with you Tripp, I am still holding out hope for Malcolm Kelly.
I've got a gut feeling that he will do well for us once he gets in.

As for Fred Davis...if Cooley's can't get in the endzone, there is no way Fred Davis can...unless, of course they unveil their 2 receiving TE set that they were bragging on since the draft....HA!, what a bunch of crap to justify the pick over a need.

Ya know, why not spend significant time with Campbell and the rookies to work on timing in practice?
Hell, just bench the first stringers during practice and put them in to force Campbell to get used to throwing to them. Remember it took Campbell a couple years to get used to the idea of throwing to Moss. That was a big question mark in offseason.

I'm actually off the Kelly bandwagon and hitched a ride with the thomas group.
I like that Thomas is a football player not just a WR. Once he figures out how to adjust to the game, I think he will have a weapon over the middle. I think we need to see him on kickoff returns...

I'm tired of Kelly, He gets banged up more than Paris Hiltons vagina.

That much action would have put him on IR before the season started.

He has beat coverage on several plays and JC missed him wide open down the field. He will get his chance and I think the coaches need to do a better job of getting him involved in the game.

I agree, he cannot throw the ball to himself when he is wide open. Eventually, JC is going to hit him a few times and it is going to be "game on!".
