You mean the last 1 week right? Last week the D was ok in the 1st half and then as bad as they had been all year in the 2d half. Yesterday was the only game the defense has been ok -not great - but ok.

I think we can all agree there is work to be done on both sides of the ball. No reason to try n figure out who is responsible for losing. Lol. It is the offense. It is the defense. It is the staff. We have yet to play a complete game on both sides of the ball.

Definitely been a team wide losing effort, including special teams.

I wonder if he's lacking confidence in a) himself, b) his body (injury already mentioned) or c) both? Seems hesitant more than anything, though yes he could be just slow.

He was slow before he got hurt.

Just cause Ron put Collins near the line and blitzed him doesn't cover up his weaknesses. He still will have to cover at some point and that is a lost cause. It's free money and an easy read for the QB when he has to cover. It's like Ron is trying to patch up a leaky faucet. Just cut your losses and release him. The tape doesn't lie. Collins is not good at football. If Collins wasn't making the money he is he'd be long gone.

But Ron has no loyalty to him so just move on. He had no problem cutting Haskins. It is so obvious to the eye that the other guys are better- meaning they can at least tackle, are better athletes and aren't as slow. I don't get it.

Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game

The thing is the defense is obviously where we were supposed to be strong. Not the offense. The d had expectations. They are almost the worst in the league. Even more disturbing is they are an absolute train wreck shit show on 3rd down. That is truly the sign of a bad defense- when you can not get off the field on 3rd down. If they play a so so game that is like a moral victory. SMH.

I’d say one thing, Jon Allen is having a All-Pro year

Jamin Davis is improving

This front four is not the problem, Holcomb and Davis don’t seem to be the problem either.

Curl is a keeper, St Juice looks to have a future. Danny Johnson wasn’t bad yesterday

Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game

At 2-5, looking at the Conference, there is no way we contend for a WC and the season is done for me in terms of trying to win.

I hope we lose out and dont tack on some meaningless wins during the last 5 games of the season vs NFCE teams.

Lets continue playing Jamin Davis, get Bates and Reyes in at TE, rotate some of the depth young guys on DL more, run some scripted plays for Dyami Brown and Mline.

Work on secondary communication. Havent seen those huge holes in coverage btw LBs playing zone and corner/safeties to far back like we did first 6 games or so.

Heinike - doesnt seem to be improving. Feels like we stopped calling and asking him to make certain throws and now we run a neutured playbook.

Blewitt showed he has a strong leg, just not the instant incline of the ball like Hopkins perhaps.

Lose out. Only positive long term positive move we can make. Otherwise we will have the same team next year but with a Case Keenum or some other "non answer" Qb bandaid.

There are certain young guys that should be playing. Not a whole lot you can accomplish as far as communication and cohesion with units because it won’t be the same unit next year. Hell it may not even be the same staff. There are probably no quarterbacks going in the top 10 next year so I don’t care if we lose out. We will be in position to take a quarterback regardless. I definitely would like to see all the young guys get major playing time. I would rather finish with 6-7 wins and not be a total laughing stock based on the quarterback class. We are not winning the division and do not have to worry about a first place schedule but lets not finish 3-14. That is just gross. Lol. Here we are in October talking about next year. This fuckin team man. One step forward two steps back. That should be our new name. The Washington One step forward two steps backs.

Secondary - I think the core is there. Curl, Fuller, St Juste and Jackson are 4 of the 5 starters in the secondary next year. Need to find that elusive traditional FS imo.

No top 10 QBs in draft - i dont follow college football hard until bowl time so I dont have any personal opinions but yeah everyone is saying its not a great year. Which really really sucks but QBs move up and down the board so Im holding out hope.

I honestly don't want us to win another game the entire year. 2-15. That will give us the best chance to get a franchise QB.

Look at the Bengals right now? They're way better than we are. The low life Bengals. Why? Joe Burrow is the main reason. They also have some studs at wr. Chase is a superstar in the making. Terry is really good but he is not Chase good. That guy may be the best wr in the game and he is a rookie.
