Immediate cut would be $14m, post June 1st $19m but you have to carry the cap hit until June 2nd, not a big problem for WFT, they could still spend knowing it was going to come and use it to cover rookie salaries etc and even extend a couple of other players who are still under contract

If Alex Smith thinks he is going to start anywhere he should be worrying about head injuries rather than his leg..... thought he was classier and smarter than taking shots at the team on the way out.

And in Watson's case he has a list of things he can point to creating disfunction. Hopkins trade, next to no weapons added, Fuller likely gone in FA, a Pro Bowl quality season wasted, management telling him they want to hear his opinion and then immediately doing an about face. While he signed a $150M contract (which lets be honest, he's unlikely to actually get all of), his good faith in signing has been undermined by the organisations actions. Why should he just shut up and play?

Accuracy rating - 32nd
True QB rating - 30th
Total QBR - 30th

Everyone wants to just keep throwing out well known FA QBs and act like they will be legit just because of a change of scenery. A lot of these guys are FAs for a reason. #camno
Yes, I don't where this idea has come from. Certainly no noise from the organisation.

Cam apparently came out and said that there are not 32 better QB's than him in the league. No, looking at those numbers there are at least 29.

I watched a couple of NE games last year and he looked awful, especially compared to his best seasons. I'm not even sure I'd consider him as a backup at this point.

Both sides are saying the "right" things. I just think he'll end up playing under the tag again.

Cowpukes are going to have to release a whole bunch of players to make the tag work. They have no cap room to afford the tag right now.

Yeah, I don't know how they are going to make it work, but I don't see him signing a long term deal this year.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021

Here's to having our QB come from the draft. Dak has Dallas by the balls, but he is absolutely not worth 38 million per year.

We're gonna have to trade up from 19 to get our guy.

Reports from The Athletic are saying RW wants out of Seattle but his list of teams did not have us on there... IDK why these guys don't want to come to WSH but F them. I agree trade up for Lance or Fields

Apparently, these are the teams:

■ Dolphins
■ Jets
■ Saints
■ Raiders

I think all of these make sense, except for the Jets. Aside from having draft capital for a trade, I don't understand how any established QB like Watson or Wilson would want to go there.

I lowkey want to see RW with the Saints.

Dolphins- That a sign they are giving up on Tua already?
Jets-He knows Saleh and the defenses he creates, big market
Saints-I think this makes the most sense
Raiders-They have lots of dough tied up in QB already

They are terrible, the only thing that makes sense for the Jets is to draft a QB at #2 or keep Darnold.
