Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Should anybody really call it a "retirement" at this point? The only reason Favre doesn't come out after the season is over and say he'll be relaxing until mid-to-late training camp is so the rest of his teammates don't have to feel like he gets special treatment. I'm sure they all know he gets special treatment but he doesn't want to acknowledge it because then it'll be out in the open. Everybody would rather just leave it unsaid.

Can't believe they had a helicopter following him around yesterday. I mean, really?

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Farve is the ultimate attention whore. Even more so than LeBron. He must be the most insecure person ever. And he's so disrespectful to his teammates. There has to be a few guys in that locker room that hate his guts.

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Yeah I think he's got the majority of the team on his side. They know he's their best shot at winning. And he fits in pretty well with that locker room from what reports say.

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Hmm, I don't think teammates would be hating on the guy who helped them explode last year to the NFC Championship game.

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
I wouldn't say he's more of an attention whore than LeBron until he holds a one hour special on his decision to come back or not, and then gets quoted saying he graced the crappy people and teammates of Minnesota/NY/Green bay with his awesomeness and they gave him nothing in return.

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
yeah but here they are going to the ota, mini camps and now training camps and he's no where to be found. if you want to play then get your surgery done right after the season instead of waiting til May. to me it's the ultimate sign of disrespect and minnesota ought to be ashamed of themselves for letting Farve take advantage of them the way he is. there are more than just two guys in that locker room that are sick and tired of his bullshit.

All will be forgiven if they win the Super Bowl, and he already has three essential players in his corner. He already did a little "air-clearing" last year and after the season, what non-rational player would think they would have had the same year with either Rosenfels or Tarvaris. And I don't get why people simply can't just let him off the hook that he's just indecisive about a huge career decision he's going to make. The MEDIA wants the story, but I doubt Favre got 3 tvs blasting up ESPN, NFL Network, and something else along with subscribing to ever RSS feed out there in the hopes he finds himself in the news.

Smootsmack-
Please do us a favor. Tell your network to get over this!!! Omg. All day long, all Favre, and nothing else. Like it's a surprise to anyone. Surely there are other newsworthy things happening. What a circus. Next thing you know there's gonna be a special covering the special that's covering his non-retirement.

But it is the most newsworthy thing in sports right now. And people are watching. I mean even people who don't want to talk about it, want to talk about how they don't want to talk about it. But yeah, I am looking forward to moving on

Re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
At this point everyone knows what to expect with Favre. I really doubt anyone really cares in that locker room. If they were in the same position they would probably do the same thing. What veteran wouldn't want to stay home until the middle of August? I would bet most in that locker room are just happy he's there now.

Dude is a warrior.
He is also an enormous ego-maniac/drama queen/attention whore. ......but he is an absolute BEAST of a football player. |
