I would love to see CP get 100, but for that matter, I'd love to see the team get 100+.

It's easy to look at the #s & say the Jets D is bad, but we've had plenty of games where the stat rankings would indicate that we should have a good day, but it doesn't happen. Actually, compare our O to their D. We #28 I believe, & they're 27. Pretty close.

Combined record of teams we lost to: 20-3. Of course the Pats make ths number look better than it is but even withou them its still 12-3.

We are better than people are believing. I still think this team is good. We have had some shiity games and I think it gets better from here on out. I still think this team makes the playoffs.

That being said, Redskins 30, Jets 3(maybe 0).
Portis gets 100 yards finally but its mostly because the Jets run D is so bad. The problems dont get fixed in the run game until we get RT back. Hopefully the line can pull together late in the season as we make a push to & through the playoffs. Remember, All you gotta do is get to the dance, then anything can happen.
I love it when people actually put thought and research into their posts. Posts like this make me love this site.

If we lose this game we are in big trouble. But I really don't see that happening. All the teams that have beat us are having great seasons. We'll handle the 1&7 Jets.

While the Redskins do play to the level of their opponents, there's no way I see the Jets beating us.. Clemens is making his first start of the year at QB, while we lose Rogers, Smoot is back and Washington is a week healthier and I'm sure Grilliams is out to send a message after getting 52 hung on his defense. This is the week the running game gets on track and (hopefully) opens up the offense a bit.. 24-13 Redskins.

I don't remember "writing off our D", I simply said that they have been used and abused all year. They have been on the field way too much because the offense can't get anything going (especially in the second halves). That takes a toll on a unit. Then when you throw in all the injuries and everything else I stated, it doesn't bode well.

And while 1-7 is not a good record, they are still a good football team.

I hope I'm wrong about my prediction, but that's the way I see it.

I dont see the Jets as a good team. In fact, I think of them as horrible. They have NO running game. It has been that way since Curtis Martin got injured. They have no QB worthy of a starting job, and now their defense is playing bad. Their D was their strong point in seasons past and ths year they have been just plain BAD. Injuries have alot to do with their record but they are not a GOOD football team.

I think the Skins bounce back this week with a solid performance in all three phases of the game. I even think Torrence gets a pick 6 in this one!

Re: The official Redskins Warpath prediction threadİ: Skins vs. Jets

This Jets team hasn't won since week 3.

The good news is that they still haven't had their bye yet. That gives us a good chance.

But as I've been saying about this week, it doesn't make me happy to put our chances against a 1-7 team down as "a good chance".

Our defense is no longer top tier without Carlos Rogers. The Jets will be able to move the ball against us, with greater ease on the ground than in the air.

To me, theres little doubt the passing game is going to get back on its feet soon. But how soon? If not by this week, we won't beat the Jets. This team is playing at full strength against us, who happens to be playing at half strength.

Well, we'll find out this weekend. Their offense is about as explosive as ours at this point, so it will probably come down to special teams and turnovers. And I give them the edge for being at home.

I think a lot of people will be surprised at how well the Jets stack up against us. Hopefully we'll do enough to win.

Last week we saw how far the Skins are from the top. This week we will see how far they are from the bottom. Unfortunately I dont think it all that far. That said, a win is a win.

Jets 10
Redskins 14

The Jets may force LL up in the box to cover the underneath and stop the run. This will give the Jets young QB the opportunity to show up. No-one will watch more tape on Sean Taylor this week than Clemens, and Greg Williams needs to mix up his attack to avoid getting exploited. Disguise the defense, force Clemens read everything, and blitz the hell out of him.

If we can't run, than I don't think we should. We've got the WR's to spread the field... Campbell needs to be smart this week, even it means dink and dunk.
