I think it's more rumor than truth. But it's not unrealistic to think he could be traded either.

Stafford is my non-drafted dream scenario.

Watson would be above him, but that's just not realistic at this time imo.
I wouldn't go after Golladay unless we get rejected by the better options (like Robinson, Samuel etc.). For me Golladay has a habit of disappearing for stretches.

I'd be surprised if Robinson doesn't reach FA; the Bears have arguably a worse QB situation than us and if you're Robinson why would you not want to test FA and make your money while you can? Pus he'll want to go somewhere that he's not be the only standout receiver, and thus DT'd all the time. Put him opposite Scary and add a good slot (maybe Cam) and we get an instant upgrade in the passing attack, almost regardless of who is QB.

I'd also think Curtis Samuel reaches FA with the situation in Carolina. I'd also go with him over Golladay.

I'd add Corey Davis, Will Fuller and Chris Godwin to the list, but I'd be surprised if they reach FA (though maybe not Fuller given the new rumblings around Watson).

Maybe we should start a specific FA thread to go along with the draft thread?

Sounds like we may have some good options for that WR2 spot.

I love that plan, they're already GREAT together, add Terry into that mix and we're immediately one of the most dangerous passing teams in the NFL.

I really hope we re-sign Cam Sims though, he's earned a payday.

Logan Thomas needs to be locked up long term.

Also remember our backs are great receivers too

he is about to be 32, never been a great passer but an ok one. Coming off a collapsed lung or pierced lung or whatever happened to him. I just wouldnt have him as a starter, hasnt been a full time starter since 2017.

The lung thing is not a long term concern. He was the starting QB for LA until the team Dr punctured his lung with that pain shot. Herbert played well enough to keep the starting role after that.

He has a winning record, doesn't turn the ball over a lot, and can make plays with his legs. 32 isn't old, and I doubt he would cost much...not like a Stafford or Ryan would.

Maybe Mac Jones in the draft if he falls to the 2nd round (doubtful).

I'm not at all sold on him. I definitely wouldn't use a 2nd round pick on him. I could be wrong, but a sense I have about him.

No way. A team would trade back up to bottom of 1st round to get him a 5th year, $30M savings when you consider current QB contracts.

If he fell that far.
If he was sitting untaken beginning of day 2, would be trade ups top of 2nd round.
