I did this with all medium settings. That's pretty absurd. Computer might need a few tweaks. Even at the lowest setting that isn't reasonable.

Does it account for position taken in the rating? Maybe try picking Crum at #1?

I did another one for all teams, where I drafted all QBs for like the 1st 15 teams until no more were left. Most of those were A+.

Kellen Mond and Shane Buechele in the top 10 were definitely both A+ from memory.

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread

Did this assuming a 1st and 3rd trade for Stafford.

51: R2 P19 - OT Jalen Mayfield - Michigan
74: R3 P10 - S Paris Ford - Pittsburgh
121: R4 P19 - WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette - Iowa
160: R5 P19 - G Tommy Kraemer - Notre Dame
239: R7 P17 - CB Nick McCloud - Notre Dame
241: R7 P19 - TE Briley Moore - Kansas State

Not gonna be able to hit on everything position that could be upgraded, but you can still bring in some good guys and/or competition. 2nd and 3rd rounders would both be instant starters imo. Would need to sign LB(s) in FA.

Trey has big time potential. I just don't see him falling that far

He seems to be coveted, but I am hesitant about him. He did have one great year, but he has only played in 18 games I think.

Dwayne Haskins had more experience than him leaving college.

Yeah but unlike Haskins, he’s reported to be a grinder. One of the hardest working, most detailed oriented, organized players you’ll ever meet. That’s a recipe for for success even if you have limited gam experiences. Those are the intangibles that help you grow. Unlike raw talent and a lazy work ethic.

Yeah, I don't know that much about him. Haven't seen one game of his. I'm sure he is all you describe him to be, but that won't make him ready for the NFL in 2021. If you are going to draft a player in the top of the 1st round, he should be coming in to start in year 1 - at least at some point.

Not if you’re Aaron Rodgers. And yes, I know, there was Brett Favre. But if he’s not ready, you get a 1-2 year bridge vet and let the kid grow. If the kid isn’t NFL ready, but has the requisite tools to excel, you got to look at it that way. I would honestly prefer it, bc it would give us another year or two to build a better line and skill position weapons so when the kid comes in you aren’t putting as much pressure on him to do more with less.

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread

Does this draft seem pretty deep on top end talent? Seems like there are 4 QBs w 1st round grade potential and like 6 WRs.

if we stay at 19, we should be able to pick up a stud WR.

Teams drafting QBs early will stretch that talent out further too.

I hope the BPA on the board at 19 (if we still have that pick) is OL, DB, or ILB.

Definitely a lot of WR options. I think we can get a real damn good WR even at 51.

LT and WR have a lot of options in the top 51. I hope we get at least 1 of these positions in the 1st 2 rounds.

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread

Darrisaw or a stud WR in the 1st.... bamas LB Moses in 2nd or 3rd .. idk I really dont get a chance to watch a lot of college ball so i go by mock drafts lol sigh

I feel like theres 19 plus players in this years tier 1 when usually its like 6-12 or so.

I do think we see 4 QBs go before our pick.

But does this draft feel deeper than usual for high end talent or am I just feeling that bc we have no. 19 and I need a deep draft as a fan with the no. 19 pick? if that makes sense

I like reading and doing mock drafts just to see different names. Punch posted 1 and I knew who every player was besides the very last pick just from reading mocks. That is their best redeeming quality. Everyone is just guessing what front offices are thinking. No real truth on 99% of the actual picks.

The older you get the harder it is to watch a lot of random games. I pretty much only watch my teams at this point. I'll catch the 2nd half of other games if I can.
