I think that is good news. He has nothing left to prove.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Without seeing the old ones to compare, they look pretty much the same, no?

Good before and after with new and last year's jerseys.

Ok the new ones look better. Still, it would have been nice to see something truly fresh and new.

It would have been nice to see them return to their best look.

They'd have some real trash looks after that. The stripes were a mess, the jersey and pants didn't even match up.

And those sleeve stripes looks like random pieces of mangled electrical tape.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Getting rid of different colored sleeves and side panels on jerseys = massive upgrade

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Jordan Reed is expected to retire. It sucks how the injuries destroyed Reed's career, he was a hell of TE for us and could easily become one of the best TEs in NFL history if it wasn't for the injuries.

Yes, Reed could have been one of the best. Last concussion was totally unnecessary, targeted use of helmet in a preseason game should have got Neil banned outright, can't stand that pos and seems apt that he is now playing for Dallas, not that I needed more reasons to dislike them

Reed retirement is official. Only 30 years old, but it's the right move for him.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

The jersey number change is official. Probably won't see many players switch this year though

Quote:
Players who change their number for the 2021 season must buy out the remaining inventory of their existing jersey, according to*Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports. Those who request a change as of the 2022 season can switch numbers at no cost.

He wouldn't be eligible for #2 as a DL

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

^ Correct, and I think he's established and is happy with his identity as #99.

Would be a jerk move to all of the fans who bought his merch...he doesn't seem like the type to want to intentionally make his fans angry.

He wore #9 in high school...he likes it.
