LOL... everyone's hyped the first half, then they lose and it's same ole team. I saw some positives today. If one of our defenders held on to one of those surefire ints, it would have ended differently. The only inexcusable part were the penalties. The rest is fixable imo

Do the Browns call us again, but this time try to trade for RGIII instead of Cousins like they did in preseason?

It seems like Gruden cared about keeping it close, not about winning. You could see the dolphins made changes at halftime, we did not. We stayed with what we normally do. Gruden is a play caller, not a coach. He has no concept of doing anything other than what he knows, which for an NFL coach, seems very limited.

We were not likely to win the division this year, this looks like a better team than what I saw last year. Let's keep building...

I'm with this guy. If this is our average game we are better than last year. But... weak secondary, still suspect ST, OL a work in progress, and at some point you gotta hope Gruden/McVay open it up. Weez gotz a wayz to goze.

You think if Gruden gets fired, Cousins is going to be the QB of the future of this team?

If Gruden continues to have shitty games like this one, he's not going to be here much longer, nor will Cousins.

Counsins plays well, I just don't have faith in Gruden to do well enough to keep his job.

Re: Skins vs Fins Week one Gameday thread

better than last year - make no mistake about that. But that might be more painful to watch.....I can care again.

Breland is back next week

I have more hope now than last week, which means a greater emotional investment, which means higher pain per play potential.

Overall I am not pissed about anything except the punt return TD...which was the ballgame.

the rest can be worked - penalties and catching picks......

Biggest thing to me was the penalties. Madditch read off the last 5 drives and 3 were ended by penalties driving us back

Missed FG and punt returned for TD. 10 points. There's your game.

Lot of if's there Ruh.

First game of the season, yeah, let's fire the coach. Like we've had great success finding coaches in the last decade. Gibbs excepted, of course. And the way things are today, no way would Gibbs have made it through his first season. We would have booed him and this owner would have canned him.

I know this isn't the place or time for patience. But a little of that would go a long way. And trust Scot to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done.

I do. I think most NFL coaches will want Kirk. I'm sorry RG3 didn't make it. Root for the Redskins not a single player.

Amen. We are seeing our lack of depth, losing Niles Paul and Adam Hayward, was costly. Likewise, Galette would have made a difference on a day like today. Overall, the team looked like a 'professional' football franchise. Yes, the losing sucks, but this was not like the house of horrors that was the 2013 and 2014 teams.
