Re: Let's Discuss the 2007 Schedule
Strength of schedule really means nothing. The peformance of teams is so variable now that we could end up with the easiest schedule pretty easily. In 05 I think we ended up with a super hard schedule and going in it wasn't really that hard going by strength of schedule.

Re: Let's Discuss the 2007 Schedule
My first impression is that we're given the opportunity to set the tone for a good season by getting off to a good start. Three of our first four games are at home, two of which bracket the bye week. And all three of those home opponents aren't what I'd consider juggernauts (though I'll note the caveat of 'you never know').
The middle of the schedule gets pretty harsh as FRPLG pointed out, with 4 out of 5 games away from home. Bears on a short week really hurts. But another plus, we never really travel much further west than the Mississippi. No west coast games, which eases on the jet lag. That's a factor that shouldn't be overlooked, we never used to play well in Arizona, for example. All in all, seems like a fair and balanced schedule. And how can you not like Dallas for the final game!

Re: Let's Discuss the 2007 Schedule
I think week 9 is the last week of byes. That being the case, we are just slightly less than halfway to the bye midpoint, if that means anything. Week four does feel early though.

On the bright side a week four bye week is about middle of the way when you count preseason and training camp.

Re: Let's Discuss the 2007 Schedule
It looks like we have a chance to start and end strong. The middle stretch of the schedule is pretty tough. (Pats, Jets, Eagles, Cowboys).

Re: Let's Discuss the 2007 Schedule
Not too brutal. The bye is too early, and the Bears game will suck but at least we're home. Gotta love the three prime time games, maybe more if they juggle the schedule towards the end of the season. Our playoffs will start with that Bears game on Dec 6. With that run of four straight NFC teams (2 NFC East) all more than likely battling for playoff spots will be fun. Can't wait to eat some fish!

Re: Let's Discuss the 2007 Schedule
You know on paper this schedule looks to be pretty favorable for the Skins.
