Horrible defenses. If our defense plays like it did prior to 2006 these guys will not score that much. The scary team in the division is still Philly IMO (I know, they lost to GB).

Re: Cowboys And Giants Both Looking Good

I have to agree the defences of both teams just didn't turn up the first score of the Giants was so predicatable it was untrue ...run run play action over the head of head of Henry and Williams .

I think the play of the first half was when the Cowboys were driving ... when wern't they? Romo barking out audibles and then Gourde just snapped the ball catching Romo totally unprepppared .

You want to say they looked better than us then fine you go and support them I think Campbell didn't have the best day but Romo Vs a NFL calibre defence would be destroyed the timing routes where well off and Witten made big play over big play in the middle and was never covered ..

The other thing that struck me is the injuries on both teams ...significant .

I will conceed Marrion Barber is a stud, big powerful back but then he is being compared to Jones who is an absolute bust

Honestly, if I'm EITHER team I'm worried about my defense, the Cowboys in particular. That's supposed to be their bread and butter. Next week we'll see what the Cowboys are really made of. Miami's defense should be able to shut down their offense pretty well.

Both defenses played like total garbage and was the main reason both offenses looked 'good'.

I agree. That was one of the worst defensive displays I've seen. Dallas kept hitting the same in route over and over and the Giants kept getting single coverage with Reeves on Burress. Neither team ever adjusted to what the other was doing.

All the Cowboys players were saying in essence that Parcells was holding them back because he made them think too much and now they were going to be free to do this and that. What a load. Anybody that believes that a Wade Phillips team will outperform a Parcells team has bought a pig in a poke.

As for the Giants, if they can't play defense, they are lost because Eli will not put up numbers like did last night much more this year if at all. And they lost that game anyway too.

Yeah, I wouldn't say doom and gloom, but MAN those injuries are rough. Have you read what the Cowboys are going to do with Ferguson out? That changes the whole defensive scheme.

I'm sure they are. Every year though I laugh at the Broncos because their fans must be pissed every year. It's like it's AUTOMATIC for them to make the playoffs, but you can ALWAYS count on them folding in them.

I'd be pissed, it's almost like the season doesn't matter. After that scare against the Bills I'm sure they'll pay more attention.

Re: Cowboys And Giants Both Looking Good

I thought the offenses of both teams looked extremely good cause both defenses looked extremely bad. If Dallas has a D like that all season, they won't win even 7 games. It might just be a first night jitters, and a new coaching system. They have talent back there, so I'll chalk it up as a fluke for now.

ps- Does anyone know why Sinorice Moss didn't play at all last night? Also, how bad is Brandon Jacob's injury?

Jacobs has a sprained MCL, similar to Samuels.

How long will he be out?
I was hoping it was a tear since I picked up Ward.

Offense sells tickets, defense wins games. IMO these two teams did not look good, defense makes up half of a team.

To make matters worse for the cowpatties is that Ferguson (starting nose tackle) is out for the season with a torn bisceps. They have no other nose tackle on the roster.
