Re: 2012 QB Class
I've seen RG3 play and he's a better passer than some think BUT I'd rather have Barkely

So it seems to me that "what we do here" is irrelevant really. We don't do anything as far as the QB position is concerned. Kyle had a pretty darn good offense in Houston with Matt Schaub. He's not RG3 as far as athleticism is concerned. So in my eyes, if you feel Jones is a better pro prospect than RG3 in a vacuum (which I do, too), that's the guy we go with. And like I said before, RG3 is accurate, but padding stats against Rice and Stephen F. Austin while Jones is shredding Texas Tech and K State doesn't really wow me. I wouldn't be surprised if RG3 goes back to school for another year. He'll be a much higher pick than if he comes out after this season.

What sense would it make for RG3 to come back to school? He's already been there for 4 years, he has his degree, and most of the guys he's playing with are seniors. It would be stupid for him to come back definitely with his draft stock rising the way it is. More than likely he'll declare this up and coming draft. If he's there when it's our time to pick we take him. |

Re: 2012 QB Class
Landry44- you have absolutely no idea what you're even arguing. It's hilarious and you look foolish, so I encourage you to just stop. You've got a chubby for RG3. We get it. All I ever said is that I'd prefer to have Barkley or Jones as a Redskin. That's it. And then you agreed!! What the hell are you even saying? I never once said Jones was more mobile or had a better comp % than Griffith. Yet for some reason you insist on beating me over the head with it? Huh?
Seems to me your MO is to just come on here brag about how much college football knowledge you think you have. It's weak man. Way to conveniently ignore my points about "what we do here," etc.

Re: 2012 QB Class
So, not being a college FB fan, I won't make an argument about any of the qb's. I am absolutely confused by Landry44's arguments tho'. So this is mainly to you collegeFBguy:
BigC stated early on, he preferred RGIII to Landry Jones because RGIII is a better fit for what we do here. You said he(BigC) obviously doesn't watch college FB after Lotus asked why not Landry Jones. Then later you are saying RGIII fits better here than LJ because of what we do, and say GMScud obviously has no collegeFB IQ because he prefers LJ. Seems like you reversed your position 100%, but maybe not, I just couldn't follow your arguments, so I was hoping you could clarify your thoughts for me (a non-collegeFBguy). Also, for me, I am just really glad that there seems to be many qb's that will be available next draft. |

Re: 2012 QB Class
RGIII probably wont even come out this year as SS has stated. Regardless, both RGIII and Landry are very talented guys, 1st round guys. If you want the best QB prospect are you willing to pay the price, Im saying yes. Luck will be worth it.

Re: 2012 QB Class
Moore, RG3, and Barkley talk is a moot point. We are giving up 4 1st round picks to trade up to take Luck!!! DUH

Again, the point is rather than attacking knowledgeable fans of CFB, why not simply discuss the areas you disagree? No one here is psychic, and most of us are simply having discussions about what we see based on our history and background knowledge, and we have the discussions because we all have a common interest in seeing the Redskins be the best team in the league year in and year out. Outstanding job CRed!
We should spend less time around here accusing others of ignorance and more time understanding the opinions of others, even if they differ from ours.
