Re: f...gibbs
If Portis was in the game he would have broken the tackle on 3rd down. That was a joke. Betts didn't level his pads and break the tackle like 90% of the league would have and he fell sideways. There wasn't even an attempt to stretch the ball out. That was the worst short yardage run attempt I've ever seen. Portis certainly scores on 3rd if he's in there.

Now, I'm not pointing all of this loss on Betts because it's clearly not all his fault, but he should have scored on 3rd down. |

Re: f...gibbs
Conservative play calling was NOT the problem. That's what you do when you are up 17 - 3 at the half. You rely on your defense, and you don't commit turnovers. This loss is TOTALLY on the team (defense mostly) -- not the coaches.

Say what you will about the defense allowing 3rd down conversions, missing tackles, etc... THEY WERE ON THE FIELD THE ENTIRE SECOND HALF!!! We have to be better on offense. When I think of how easily we could be 0-3, I don't have much confidence in this team. Gibbs needs to wake up and smell the offense.

Re: f...gibbs
Yeah I blame gibbs for not having CP on the field. You know he can make this mistake once and I'll let him. But if he does it again I'll still love him. hopefully he's learned his lesson. HAIL!!!

too old, too slow and way too conservative.....thanks to inept coaching, another losing season looms ahead-the Skins won't recover- they got a physical beat down in the second half which will linger througout the season.....watch all the other teams as they will copy the Giants 2nd half game plan and physically kick the Skins ass the rest of the season.....you never sit on a lead in the NFL-what a waste of offensive talent....you had the Giants on the ropes and you come out in the second half and every time you get the ball it's 3 plays and a punt- Bad Coaching lost this game-and don't get me started on Williams/Gibbs letting Antonio Pierce go......Giants will again win both games against the Skins...the G-Men in their stadium against the Skins....why even bother to show up with a Gibbs coached team.......Snyder better Man Up and face the truth...another dissapointing year, more heartbreak and more fans lost.......line up Cowher now and let Gibbs go back to NASCAR & Williams who apparently thinks all defensive players are interchangeable go torture another team and fans.....

Oh, and case you forgot, Portis dropped a pass that could have kept a drive alive. Portis sucked yesterday. |

Re: f...gibbs
everyone is dogging the play calling. fact is Jason threw 34 or 35 times. We WILL NOT win games if he is throwing the ball that many times. We were up 17-3, what in the hell are we doing?? Everyone wants to dog the last couple of plays, but we lost that game well before then. Besides the fact, if we can't score from freaking 2, then we deserve to lose no matter what play is called. Fact is, we over looked the Giants, as usual, and got our asses beat again. If we are a good team, we just dont lose that game. we are up 14 freaking points. the offense couldn't sustain a drive, the D got wore out. that is unexcusable if we are going to compete with the elite teams in the NFL.

Re: f...gibbs
All that needs to be said is bad coaching on the offensive side of the ball. Al Saunders should give back his paycheck for the week cause he certainly didn't earn it.
As for Portis vs Betts, well, who is to say who could've done what...neither of them went anywhere when it mattered.

And yeah, Portis sucked yesterday... He only had 4.3 per carry and a touchdown. Betts was just spectacular with his 1.3 yard average and failed goal line attempts... |

Re: f...gibbs
Could someone explain to me why we always act like such little girls (no offense to little girls) and drop f-bombs, curse the coaches, and act like our season is toast whenever we lose a game? Something tells me that those same babies are the same fans who loudly boast to others when we win. Get some perspective, quit crying, and quit labeling anyone else as a blind optimist.
Sorry, people who know me know that I tend to shy away from being so harsh and I too am really disappointed with our 2nd half implosion, but I'm getting really really really really tired of seeing the same "I'm freaking out" posts. The coaches made some mistakes, the players made some mistakes, and things didn't go our way yesterday. Deal. |
