He's still good when healthy.

Key words when healthy.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

The #Dolphins have informed LB Kyle Van Noy he will be released, source says.
@CameronWolfe
indicated this might be coming. It's confirmed.

One more solid ILB veteran on the market, hope we get to sign one of them. I'm tired of getting gashed in the run game despite our Dline.

Agreed. I think we definitely need to replace Bostic and probably KPL. Holcomb's play is propping up the group. Van Noy might be expensive, but probably not as expensive as his Dolphins contract (given the reduced cap); I'd test the waters. And he'd be a good leader, the kind of guy RR and JDR like.

Nah, he's slower than Bostic and a year older. I don't see him as an upgrade.

Is he more out of position than him too ?

Not sure. But to be released one year into that nice contract does speak to something...just don't think he's worth pursuing as he probably doesn't do anything to upgrade the LB position. I'd rather let Bostic roll for one more year in the system.

I honestly don't know much about the current KVN, but I do want an upgrade at LB. I was highly disappointed by Bostic last year.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

If Gisele had it her way, the Super Bowl would have been Tom Brady's last ride ... 'cause the QB says his supermodel wife urged him to retire after the game, saying, "What more do you have to prove?"

CBS SPORTS

I wish he would retire but I understand why he doesn't

I would rather him keep playing and see how many more SB wins he can rack up. Put that record out of reach...

I think it’s safe to say it’s already well out of reach. >50% super bowl participation rate over a 19 year career is unfathomable.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Cook was released by the Saints could be a good back-up to Thomas (Additionally these guys that are being released don't count against the comp formula when signed).

That record is already out of reach for our lifetimes. Think about the best qb's in the game today that still have enough of a career left to sniff 7, your Mahomes/Allens/Watsons (not including Wilson and Rodgers because they have one title each and I don't see them winning 6 titles in under a decade). Mahomes just lost and the other two haven't even sniffed a title game. It's unrealistic to think any of them could even get closer than 3-4 titles because Brady is the outlier in all of NFL history. What qb has the most rings behind Brady? It's Montana/Bradshaw with 4 each. I could write a short story on this but let's wrap it up. Brady is one title away from doubling up on the next closest guy in the entire 80 year history of the league. He's untouchable.
