Glad to hear this. I want to put this drama behind and look forward to a good training camp.

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation
Good news.
I do believe it was overblown by the media. I'm not saying Haynesworth isn't a spoiled, whiny brat and possible jackass about this situation, but in the end, the media had more to do with the uproar than anyone. Haynesworth could comment once a month, but we're hearing about it every day. Hopefully Kemo will be ready to go so we can have a beast of a DLine with Al at DE.

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation
Haynesworth, of course, also had given many of the same impressions leading into the mandatory minicamp. But now with the threat of actually losing money for not showing up training camp he's walking the walk, not just talking the talk.
Whatever, so long as he shows up and plays hard I guess that's all you can ask for

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation
Interesting Article in the Post. This makes me excited about this season if things can get patched up.
"Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has reached out to the Redskins recently and assured them he won't be a distraction, several people familiar with the situation said Wednesday. Haynesworth, who has returned to the area to prepare for the opening of training camp Thursday, is optimistic about his situation in Washington for the first time in months, said one team source who has spoken with him at length in the past few weeks. The source said Haynesworth told him he is coming to work and understands he will have to play nose tackle at times in the Redskins' new 3-4 defense." Washington Post: Haynesworth tells Redskins he won't be a distraction

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation
^True. However I bet you if the Skins had caved and wanted to seriously trade him he would have been all for it.

I'm going to find it hard to root for the guy, but he can win us over by playing his ass off. We'll see.

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation
I agree. He has definitely left a bad taste in a lot of Skins fans' mouths, but you know what they say, winning cures all ills. I think he is still a selfish self-centered person who if things go south will go back to his off season antics.

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation
Agreed. This is his time to make ammends and not to rock the boat. With all of the optimism around Redskins Park, I am sure that this energy will be contagious even for a guy who has been one of the most talked about unhappy players in recent memory. Good to hear all the right things coming out of Redskins Park so far.

Ding, ding, ding. Johnny, tell him what he's won.... I would really like to see him belly flop on Romo the first play of the game against Dallas. That would be fun.

Haynesworth Reports to Camp, Meets With Shanahan
This is good news. I hope Shanny and Haslett ride him enough that everyone knows skipping the off season has consequences, then get him on the front line hammering our opponents! |

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation
Hey, who says he can't come into camp, play his ass off, and put up better numbers this year than he ever has. Here's to hopin for a bad ass season from the new reinvented Charles Mann/Dexter Manley on steroids. (and hooked on phonics).
