Re: Fitzmagic thread
We could have been dangerous with just an average defense

Re: Fitzmagic thread
Agree my mind went to Cousins, and before that Brad Johnson for the Michael Westbrook / Albert Connell season. Though I don't know if the one season counts. Good job Dan Snyder.

Re: Fitzmagic thread
Brunell to Moss hit on quite a few deep balls too. Seems like ages ago.

Re: Fitzmagic thread
I don't want to get into another Kirk discussion, I just find it funny that fans will scoff at his time here, meanwhile we've had absolute garbage QB play since he left and still don't have a long term answer. He still owns a bunch of passing records here and likely will for a long time.

Yeah they all want to maximize their earnings, but taking 2 tags with no intention of ever negotiating with the team isn't helping your team win.

Re: Fitzmagic thread
Goes both ways, Bruce gave him a ridiculous low ball offer that showed he clearly undervalued Kirk. And once it became obvious Kirk had no intention of resigning here, Bruce should have shipped him out of here ASAP even if it meant doing business with Kyle in SF.

Re: Fitzmagic thread
And what would you have done if you were Cousins? I guess you would have signed the crappy contract that Brice offered.

Players have precious little power under the CBA, I don't fault a player for exploiting leverage one of the few times they get it. Also give Cousins credit for not taking a $50M bonus and demanding a trade the next year. He wanted out, so didn't sign a long-term deal. Cousins was NEVER going to resign because he is a moral man and THE DAN is a turd. Pile on the fanboy favoritism the owner showed RGIII, and it was over. Not resigning him was the right choice. Cousins a stellar human being, but will never lead a team to SB Victory. You had receivers demanding trades or refusing to resign with Vikes to escape Cousins, who checks down WAY too much and when he does go deep is inaccurate. I'm no Fitz fan, but he at least has some moxy and a killer instinct, Cousins is a USDA choice pussy. |

Re: Fitzmagic thread
Kirk took the Vikings to the playoffs 2 years ago and beat a favored Saints team with clutch throws. He's a good QB, Can't knock him
