Yep, and you can't believe a word coming out of anyone's mouth, if they are associated with an NFL team in any way.

The only thing that is certain at this point is Urban Meyer is taking Trevor Lawrence.

I think it is certain that the Jets will take the kid from BYU and that SF will draft a QB. After that, all bets are off.

I'm not willing to bet on the selection of any particular players beyond Lawrence. They'll both take a QB, but I'm not ready to say that it is certain who that will be.

Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0

I'm not saying never trade back, I'm saying don't walk away form a guy that you believe could be a game changer just to maximise picks. Belicheat also traded back up to get a guy he really wanted a few times. IN this years draft I'd say there are 3-5 players that if still available at 19 you'd be unwise to turn your back on. Maybe they're all gone but if I see 1 or all of Tucker, Lance, Jenkins or Darrisaw (and maybe Jones or Owusu-Koramoah) still on the board, I'm thinking long and hard before I trade back over taking one of them.

Totally agree on not trading up. I think a lot of those mocks are editors saying "hey can you come up with something different to the other guys, even if it seems stupid?". No sense at all in trading up for Lance, he's unproven and it would leave so many holes elsewhere especially OL.

I predict we're getting Darrisaw.

I’d be good with that.

I don't see OL as a big need...

Neither do I. I wouldn't hate it if we took a lineman early on, but I think there are bigger needs.

RR when asked about drafting a QB today "Our job is to find the right guy for this franchise"

When asked about Landon Collins saying he will not move to LB
"That was Landon saying those things, our plan is to have him compete where we need him to be"

Collins can't change from a safety to a LB this late in his career. The only thing he can really do is play in the box, and from what I saw he really can't even do that anymore. Now he is coming off a serious leg injury which will only make him slower than he already was.

Just move on from him at this point and cut your losses. It was another stupid ass Dan and Bruce signing that didn't work out.

Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0

I wouldn’t hate a tackle pick, but it really think it depends on who falls to us at 19. Tackle is really deep this year. There could be a WR or CB who drops to us.

I’d lean towards LB over Tackle as the pick

If you're talking about Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, he's probably one of the smallest LBs in the draft.

Doesn't ND also have a tackle prospect too?

Not sure he's first round material, but I think he's solidly second round though.

Yep, Eichenberg.

Projected by some to be a plug/play starting left tackle.
