Milky Way Galaxy Doomed to Head-On Crash with Andromeda - Yahoo! News

Guys, I have bad news. The Milky Way is going to collide with its neighbor Andromeda. It's been nice knowing you guys. Oh, you'll have to wait around for another 4 billion years for this epic game of galactic chicken though.

Figured I'd start a thread on science related articles. Post em if you got em or come across any interesting things. Science happens to be an amazing topic to me.

Good read and thanks for sharing. Good to see a person in the music industry with a passion for science.

Some ground breaking stuff here. Imagine being able to recover from being paralyzed.

And this is pretty sexy too, science-wise:

Space-plane

The U.S. military’s secret space plane is preparing to return from its second mission after an incredible 453 days in orbit .

The fact that the a thing 93 MILLION miles away can still heat our little rock in space is incomprehensible to me. I accept it on an intellectual level but really, fully grasping the reality of it is just simply beyond my tiny little brain.

EDIT: I'll just have to build a robot to do it for me.
