Re: Draft Week Baby!! - Thread 3.0

Tim Tebow recently reached out to the Jaguars and requested a tryout at the tight end position, per sources, a move many believe would have extended his NFL career had he made the transition earlier. He recently worked out with the Jaguars’ TE coach. No decision has been made.

He should have tried that 5 years ago instead of trying to play baseball.

Reality set in that he'd be playing for the Mets.

Made it all the way to AAA...he puts the work in.

He's in incredible shape, he can step in at TE in the NFL.

Got to see him play a AA game in Harrisburg, had a great game and made the other baseball players look like dwarves. The size of his legs was insane even from the stands.

I wouldn't bet against him.

He's 33 and trying to make a position switch? I'd take the bet against him if I were betting. If his name was Joe Smith he'd be lucky to get a workout with a team.

Aaron Rodgers has told the Packers he does not want to return.

Per Schefty:

"Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday."

Urban Meyer is his best chance.

Look how well Logan Thomas worked out...similar size, skillset and results as QB.

Heck bring him here for a look. Our system might just be good for former QBs turned TE.

Thomas made the switch to TE in 2016. He wasn't an overnight success.

Tebow is doing what he should have done after his first year in the league.

Look at it this way, maybe moving to 3 was a leverage move to get the packers to think, “hey, we could get a top QB plus...”. Certainly a stronger offer than offering to trade their original lower pick.

He will need time to learn the game mentally and is a massive project, but. . . I still think predicting individual picks is a waste of time, however.

Re: Draft Week Baby!! - Thread 3.0

I thought that this prediction had a pretty good shot of being correct. The BIG UNKNOWN was what RR and Del Rio, who are LB gurus, thought of Parsons, JOK, etc. Obviously they thought Davis had the most upside for LB.

He actually reminds me a lot of Brian Orakpo with better hands watching him play. Maybe even Ray Lewis. He's everywhere, even blocks kicks!
