Agreed, it's weird because we have good depth at DB... but at the same time I get the feeling WJ3 is pivotal to us being able to be a real good defense. With him I'm like "man our DB squad looks good" and without him all of the sudden I feel like we have a massive question mark at CB...

Yeah, both he and Curtis Samuel need to play significant amounts of time the season . It isn't good they both seem to be struggling with health now.

Both are huge for defense and offense respectively. Samuel is a game changer on offense when healthy. Fast, versatile, and flat out productive. Jackson is needed as we need a healthy, true #1 cb considering the 1 receivers in our divisions (Cooper, Golladay, Devonta Smith, etc) and pretty much all NFL teams have. Both of these guys are needed to take the offense and defense to the next levels.

"Ron Rivera ended his presser and some reporters said, "Thank you, Ron."

He turned around with a wide smile and said: "Oh, it's coach." Then he winked and walked off. "Just kidding," he said."

Speaking of likeable, I normally don't like Chris Collinsworth but Terry McLaurin makes any interviewer look good.

Per RR our first team is going to play "enough" Thursday. Excited to see this new Fitz led offense.

CC Is a really cool guy when he's not pressured to do all that jazz on SNF. Very approachable and terry seems to be the same way

Same…I think with a new QB on the team preseason matters a little more in order to get things down.

Yes it does. More reps for everyone and to get more comfortable and confident. Eager to see Fitz, recievers, and all new players.

I also think Bellichek will play his guys "enough" so the first quarter at least should as footbally as you can get with coaches who are not trying to show everything but want to see enough.

Re: WFT 2021 Pre-Season Games Thread

First unofficial depth chart is out !

Unofficial, but still good to see Cosmi and Davis as starters.
Also, with Collins having a good camp, good to see they found a way to have him and Curl at the same time on the field.

Sidenote, the talks about Stevens Sims Jr's good TC maybe aren't that meaningless, he's our #2 slot receiver for now.

Nice to see Samuel and Jackson penciled to start considering their recent injury bugs. Hoping to see them Thursday night. Receiver talent looks different and significantly improved

Go WFT!

I think TE is interesting with Bates being behind Hemmingway and also one of only 4 positions that go 6 deep.

Hemmingway is supposed to be looking good this camp. He's always had the frame for sure. Thomas, Hemmingway, and Bates should be solid though. It'll be interesting to see how many reps Hemmingway and Bates can get come real season play.
