Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League

TE Jonnu Smith signed with the Pats.

edit: I'm late!

Also, a significant trade happened over the weekend with Miami getting LB Bernardrick McKinney from Houston for LB Shaq Lawson and swapping a bunch of late-round picks. Solid player. (McKinney, not Lawson)

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League

Texans are BUSY.

Good ole Andre Roberts now a Texan. He's been a great returner since he left the Skins. He had that ONE TD return for us, not much else.

Iggles re-do B. Graham's deal, a.k.a. "kicking the can down the road," in order to get cap space:

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League

Pats are going all in on free agency:

@RapSheet
The #Patriots have now finalized a deal for #Ravens pass-rusher Matt Judon, sources say.

@AdamSchefter
And the spending spree in Foxboro continues: Former Ravens’ LB Matt Judon reached agreement on a four-year, $56 million deal, including $32 million guaranteed with the New England Patriots, per sources.

He's making good choices, except for Newton.

Cam didn't have much help last season, worth another look with an actual supporting cast probably, I just don't want that experiment on my team.

Pats didn't let Brady go, Brady told them he was leaving. Their big mistake was making "let's try to keep Tom" their Plan A for the offseason.

He told them he was leaving after he was only offered a one year deal by Belichick. Tampa offered two years, 50 million guaranteed, warm weather, no state taxes and better talent at the skill positions. Pretty much a no brainer.

Brady restructured his contract in the 2018 or 2019 offseason, so he could leave in the 2020 offseason. I'm pretty sure when this happened, Brady had made up his mind that he was leaving. You're right about all the other attributes about Tampa Bay, but it's not like they had to convince him, Brady knew he was leaving New England. The Patriots on the other hand, had this pipe dream that they could convince Tom to stay and that was Plan A, which was stupid IMO.

More for the Patriots: Former Eagles DB Jalen Mills to the Patriots on a 4-year, $24 million deal including $9M guaranteed,
@DrewJRosenhaus
tells ESPN.
