Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread

RR said it was his decision, and his decision only to apply the FT to Scherff. He obviously values his level of play and his presence on the team a lot, and was not willing to let him walk. I'll trust RR on this one as to whether or not it was the right move to apply the FT, but it's not out of the question that they get a long term deal done.

It will be interesting to see what kind of deals the FA guards get this offseason, especially Thuney, who may be the only free agent guard you could compare to Scherff as far as their level of play.

Zeitler to the Ravens for 3 years $22.5m, so $7.5m per year and likely a $4m cap hit this year...... 31 years old

I like your taste in TE's lol. I really like Grant from UCF. But Molden would be a great pick too.

The QB of Texas A&M is not an NFL QB. Do not draft under any circumstances.

I totally agree. I like Ian Book in the later rounds

Right now if Kyle Pitts or Micah Parsons fall out of the top 10 then I’m all bout the move up to get one of these guys.

Unless it's a QB they love, I would rather stand pat at 19. I think they will have the opportunity to pick a great player at 19, or even move back and acquire more picks and still end up with a starting LB, OT, S, WR, etc...

The thing is the drop off between MLB and TE from first to 2nd is large...well for TE for sure. I just like Micha Parsons

I'd probably pass on Parsons. I'm not sure RR would feel Parsons would be a good fit. Even before the lawsuit and assault/bullying accusations, there were questions about his character. I read somewhere that even though he was rated a 5-star recruit, a lot of major colleges didn't recruit him based on character questions in high school. I'd need to be convinced that the character concerns were false and weren't a concern at all before I'd consider him in round one. Also, he reportedly needs some development and could have used the experience he would have gained in 2020, had he not opted out. The talent is there in Parsons, for sure, but I'd go for Zaven Collins at #19, given the choice between the two, or one of the OTs.
