his numbers are acutally better, or atleast the same, as Winslows numbers. Granted, it was in the SunBelt conference, but still, he had over 60 receptions while lining up as a full back and a tightend. Could be the receiving threat we needed to go with Rasby blocking. Im excited about the possabilities.

the SI one wasnt that bad. It acutally says a lot of great things about him. Then all of a sudden just says that he'll neverstart but can play a hback role well. If Gibbs worked him out. ive gotta beleive he thinks he will start and contribute in that role. Expecially to warrant a second round pick.

yeah. read the reviews seems like he should be fine. Did you see his 40 time - 4.89??
Yes, I know that generally, too much weight may be given to 40 times, but that seems really high to me, not much faster than a D-Lineman. It says he catches well in traffic. He better, 'cause with that time, that's the only place he is gonna catch anything. |

Typical over-paying / over-reaching by the front office
Note: I do like Chris Cooley. --- But, I have problem with giving away 2005_2nd_round draft pick. --- Soon, we will be scrambling and scraping for 2005 draft picks, just like this 2004 season. --- Does this mean we have to trade away our star players in 2005, just so that we can replenish our dwindling draft picks _?
Why can we negotiate like the other team? --- Why do we have to overpay time & time again? Dolphins, Packers, Ravens, Saints, and Vikings, -- they all have superior negotiating skills than our Redskins FO. Please check this link: ________ http://www.nfl.com/draft/drafttracker/trades :confused- __________ Does any1 know -- who is acting as our negotiator when we are dealing with the other team _? __________ It is obvious – our Redskins incompetent negotiators are -- the weakest_link in the front office. __________ I think ( Gibbs + Danny ) must remove our inferior negotiators and replace them with personnel who are top-notch negotiators. __________ The current negotiator is definitely our organization Achilles heel. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last edited by GibbssbbiG; 04-25-2004 at 02:42 AM. |

i hope he does well to have earned such a trade to get him, but i personally would have rather held onto the pick next year, even though it won't be all that great of a pick, and try to work out something to get a player like Heath Miller of UVA in next years draft.
I was wondering something about the h-back position 2: is there a certain height the player should be, as in not too short but not too tall. cuz before this pick up i was thinking about the wr from va tech Ernest Wilford who has a solid te type frame of 6'3 and 220 lbs. has decent speed, very natural hands, very good blocker, and a 38 & 1/2 inch vertical. |

you usually want them to be bigger than that. More of a fullback/te mold. That way they arent just receivers, in fact they should be primarily blockers but have that extra threat. If they are small, 220, 230ish then linebacks and dlinemen will have their way with them.. Cooley could be a great size for Gibbs system.

He was running a 4.74 on his pro day, which isn't bad for a guy weighing 262lbs. he also pressed 225lbs 22 times. |
