Re: Ron Rivera

Sean Peyton would coach mid level college team over us.

But I don't want him anyways.

Hire a new, exciting, young coach.

Still give me Demeco Ryans.

Re: Ron Rivera

Sean Payton would come here for the right amount of control and money. You mean to tell me he wouldn't come here w/ a contract that pays him 10 million per for 5 years w/ full control? He'd come here in two seconds for that.

I think at this point in Dan's ownership he is going to be hands off. This current situation is Ron's mess. He gave Ron full control and Ron hasn't got the job done. Most importantly Ron has messed up the Qb situation. The worst thing he did was sign Wentz and gave up the draft picks to get him. I think that is going to be his downfall.

Just think, the team may not have a very high 2nd round pick next year for a guy who may not be on the roster. You do that w/ 3 losing season and you are going to get fired.

Agree with all those points.

Re: Ron Rivera

The Washington Commanders are reportedly "willing to be patient" with head coach Ron Rivera amid the team's 1-3 start to the 2022 season.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Wednesday the "sense" is the Commanders aren't going to rush to make a coaching change "barring a season that completely goes off the rails."

Rivera owns a 15-22 record amid his third year in Washington. The franchise reached the playoffs during his first season despite finishing with a 7-9 mark.

The Commanders opened 2022 with a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they've lost their last three contests by a combined score of 85-45. They sit at the bottom of the NFC East, with the other three teams in the division standing at 3-1 or better.

In other words we know Ron sucks but nobody else would want the job, but after we lose 11 games we will just stick a warm body in there to appease the fan base.

Well, there sure is no way that happens, so his job should be safe, right ^^

Re: Ron Rivera

My luke warm take on RR is that he is not going to be getting fired till after year four at the earliest. Dan has spent a lot of financial capital to secure RR and Dan's economic intake and fluidity isn't what it was. He no longer can afford to through $ around like he did when the team had a larger revenue stream. That is not to say he can't financially it is just unlikely.

Re: Ron Rivera

Per Keim from the post game presser

Asked by
@Scott7news
if there’s any panic Rivera said “for you maybe Scott but not for me.”
Why?
“Because there’s plenty of football left. If we continue to work it eventually will change .”

Seriously this isn't last year Ron. You have your people in place. Even a 5 year old can see through these excuses

Just as I suspected, Ron believes he has the full five years to build a winner. As people say here in the South, "Bless his heart, the poor thing just doesn't know any better".

He literally might - Dan is probably well aware how many coaches would rather stay a coordinator than be a head coach for this team.

i agree, i doubt RR is fired.

I am not sure how much DS cares about what is on the field anymore, most of his attention is just on saving his ass now a days.
