Yet they still operate the same way...diminishing Haskins trade value by leaks and not making him 2nd qb

This team is still doing the same thing regardless

Whatever man. You're real good at hindsight, I can see that.

This team was what, 6-3 when he got hurt. No one could have predicted that. It was unfortunate, and the team hasn't figured out the QB position since that injury. That's a fact.

Did they pay him too much, now that you look at what you got out of him? Yes. However, if it had all worked out differently - if he had been able to continue that season and beyond without the injury, who knows.

I'm not sugarcoating anything. The two late INTs were terrible, and I said that. It happens to the best of them... Happen to see the Sunday night game?

The Alex Smith trade and contract were fucking bullshit and I said it when it happened. So no hindsight partner. He wasn’t good when the team was 6-3. But continue to defend it

Of course Antonio Gibson has been bad in pass pro, where JD McK has excelled. Gibson cost Allen a season most likely. Bad coaching

3 INTs will lose you most games, but it's not sugar coating things to say he played better than probably anyone was expecting and he did a good job of making it a close game again.

That said I'd rather see Haskins back in there or hell even Montez. Going forward with Alex doesn't make much sense. He's not the future.

It doesn't appear that Haskins is the future either. We'll see how it goes down the stretch, but my guess is as long as they are in the division race, we won't see Haskins - unless there's another QB injury .

The only way to properly develop and evaluate this young roster is to put in the QB that gives you the best chance to do that, AND gives you the best chance to win. That is Alex Smith at this point.

Also, I know A Smith's contract isn't all that team friendly over the next two years, but I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Yeah I take back what I said on Haskins playing after seeing the latest from Rivera on him. Disappointing that he's not preparing well enough but it is what it is.

There's so many examples of guys like Haskins washing out. Hopefully he will come around and realize the opportunity he is potentially throwing out the window. I won't write him off yet, but like the magic eight ball says "outlook not so good."

Damn Jets! Went to bed thinking the Jets were going to win and maybe we’d have a shot at Lawrence

Re: Around the NFL week 9

Don't get the Alex bashing. We were 6-3, probably 6-4 after that game. We are just dismissing this as no big deal? Compared to our usual shitshow such as this year, that should be celebrated.

The dude suffered the most devastating football injury I've ever seen. That pretty much invalidates trying to make a hindsight decision on the deal.

We were competing and winning games, kind of the whole point. Not trying to win a beauty contest.

And his contract is not crazy by any stretch in the QB market. I'm excited for him for Sunday.

Re: Around the NFL week 9

For me it wasn't just the interceptions but how they happened, the first one JD fell, ok bad luck (although that only seems to happen to us) the next 2, are like yo what in the hell are you looking at? No one expected us to be good this season but its the way we just shoot ourselves in the foot, leg, hip, and face consistently. We stop them on 4th down, immediately turn the ball over, force a punt, immediately fumble the return, drive down the field before HT, throw a pick. The fact that we have given up the 2nd least amount of points in the 2nd half all season but are 2-6 is some other level shit. Both wins we shut out the team in the second half. It gets annoying. Daniel Jones the most turnover prone QB since Mark Sanchez has 2 games in his career where he hasn't turned the ball over. Both games are in our house, and he is 4-0 against us, twice this year without his best weapon.
