I would take that kind of consistancy. I think our offense will allow Portis to find his own holes once he gets going because the D is going to be so spread out. I would love to see him average 5+ yards a carry and I really think he's going to. Can we start the season now?!?!?

hhhmmmmm do you think cooley will get the ball as much as he did last year?i know it wont bother him at all as he indicated on skins.com tv, but man i am just amazed and excited and happy and all that when i think about all the weapons we have this year,, its hard not to get cocky and rub it in to all the cow fans,, but we are better than that and despite all this i am really hoping for team chemistry

I'm am so happy about all the stuff that's happened this offseason so far (and the draft hasn't even come yet). I am not really worried about team chemistry because I think the team is in capable hands with gibbs, williams and now saunders. I don't worry about too many cooks and all of that (coaches and skilled-offensive players) - if that is our biggest problem, that's a problem any team would love to have. I really can't complain about too much of what has happened with the team. I really believe that other teams are worried which they should be.

hmm...dont know if i think he will get 2,000 total. think about it like this. 4 good recievers, and an elite h-back. dont think portis will get more than 250 yards recieving. 1,750 yards rushing would be around what he would need. its possible, but we will see

Saunders will be calling the plays, but they will be from Gibbs playbook.

That doesn't make too much sense.

I don't think we're giving Saunders control of the offense with the caveat that he uses Gibbs' playbook only.

Saunders was brought here for his offense, not simply to be a playcaller of Gibbs' system.

There are alot of similarities though between the two that will help ease the transition.

My take on this is that we've got players here who will be happy with victories. If Moss only gets 70 catches next year, but we go 13-3, I don't see him demnding a trade. If Randle El catches 40 balls, and doesn't start every game, but we go to the Super Bowl, I don't think we'll have a controversy. We should have good chemistry, because we all have the same goal.

with saunders and the new weapons on offense, portis is a sure fire first round fantasy pick...

Has that been confirmed? Because I heard that was just a rumor. They had made a test cover with him, but that didn't necessarily mean he'd be the final choice
