CNN/Money: Global gas prices (http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/) Nothing compared to most of the world . In Europe , they pay an average of 5.25 / gallon .

The closest places to my house are Wawa at $2.79 and Exxon at $2.85. Yes, this summer is going to blow if this pace keeps up.

Alot of that $5.25 is actually taxes to pay for all their social programs so thats not really a fair comparison.

My boat has a 160 gallon fule tank which to fill up would cost me around $430. I only fill up the boat when I'm going to keep it in the water and the cost of gas at a marina is about 50 cents more per gallon. Filling it up to just run around the river some does not make sense because each extra gallon weighs about 8 pounds of extra weight.

Have you ever tried carrying around a gallon of milk? It is not light.
