trade down for more picks in the first round

Mario Williams. I love Ferguson, but Samuels and Jansen still have enough years left that we don't need to go after him. I'm not sold on Hawk (think Andy Katzenmoyer) but that's probably just because I'm biased against OSU.

I'm not sold on Bush yet. I think he's a product of an amazing offense. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bush's career track Peter Warrick's. Tons of hype, he's the next great thing guaranteed, he was dominant in college, etc, etc, etc. In fact, I think Deangelo Williams will be a better NFL RB than Bush.

Oh, and if trading down were an option, I'd trade down and take Jay Cutler......but that's probably because I've always hated the Campbell pick.

Mario Williams or Vernon Davis. I would lean more toward Williams because having been near that media market for part of the season, I can tell you, the kid impressed the hell out of me. I could see the Texans picking him at #1, it wouldn't really surprise me all that much. I think he's THAT good.

On the other hand, we have already addressed the DE position this offseason. Adding Vernon Davis to our lineup would make this O even more dynamic. I think that he is a rare talent as well and he could be as much, if not more, of an impact player than Cooley. It would give Brunell another short range target while the WRs are stretching the field.

All that said, I'm really glad the Skins don't have the #1 overall pick. That would just be really stressful to try to decide who to take.

4/5 best DL guys are over 30, 4/5 of our best receivers are under 29.

I think it's pretty obvious that our D is older than our O. However, I'd like to see what happens with Andre Carter. I think spending 70 million on 2 DE's who are still relatively unproven in the NFL could come back to bite us. That's the main reason I would lean toward Davis.

Hands down, Mario Williams, simply because it makes sense. We have not had a great DE in years and by the looks of it the Texans are primed to take him over Reggie Bush, at least that is the rumor?

vernon davis. Trading down a few spots then picking him would be the best. A TE like him would make our offense unstoppable.

70$mill on DEs is somehow different from $107mill on unproven WRs?

moss worked out, how about patten, El, and lloyd (who i'm projecting to get another 30mill deal)? knocking mario as unproven and then calling davis unstoppable is kinda ironic ;)
