While profanity isn't really a staple throughout TWP.net, it's used fairly regularly. This isn't a site to bring an eight yearold and I think we can all handle the occassional cuss word. Strong words are required to make a strong statement sometimes.

I've used profanity on occasion myself, but I'm sure his particular statement would be much more offensive to a lot of members than a simple "WTF?"

IMO it was unwarranted and uncalled for.

Well put ArtMonkGrillz, well put.

I'm going to continue to call you that if you don't mind. I just have this image of old school Art Monk with Chad Johnson teeth.

That's fine with me; maybe a little flare would get him into the HOF.

Sweet Grillz.

Honestly, I bet he would be there if he robbed a jewelry store and told them, "Make me a grill."

I'm not going to waste time making excuses for Marcus. He's got pretty decent potential and will get his chance. The NFL is not made up of golden boys and a lot of head coaches put up with immature and selfish players. Marcus' struggles will be that people are going to expect him to be next human highlight reel, which he won't be. He's not going to make things happen with his feet when things break down. He's a much better passer than Ron but I think a lot of people won't be all that impressed by him if he doesn't display some that Vick elusiveness.

Saban is fresh out of college and can still relate to the college kids,

Do you really want to run your pro team around how the coach relates to children / college age kids? I don't. When a kid reaches the NFL, it's time for players to man up and start relating to professionalism. Take that college kid crap back to your Mamma!

N F L - Not For Long if you keep up with that attitude.

This is what bothers me. I dont agree that he has decent potential. He is athletic, and thats where the "potential" stops. A successful QB in the NFL has to be smart, respected, and a leader. Vick will never be any of those. Hes a thug that will never get past his own demons enough to inspire those around him to victory. If you cant pull your life together with the potential of millions of dollars within your reach, then it just aint gonna happen.:banghead:

You'll get no argument from me regarding Vick's character issues. However, as long as players like Pacman Jones get a shot then you can be sure there are coaches in the NFL that are going to give Marcus a shot. He'll find some altruistic player or coach that takes him under his wing and defies public opinion that he can't be "saved". You may not want him in the NFL but eventually (and sadly) he'll find his onto a roster.
