ArtMonkDrillz 06-13-2006, 01:37 PM I have the radio on all day long at work, mainly for background noise after Elliot in the Morning, and there are about 40 songs that I can't stand that are on everyday. One that comes to mind right away is "Photograph" by Nickleback. I really hate that song, I hate all of their songs, but that one in particular. The lead singer sounds like he's having a hard time dropping a duece and my 9 year old sister could write better lyrics. When the song came out last year(?) they played it all the time and I'd have to take off my headphones ASAP, but then they stopped playing it, thank God. However, about a month ago it magically got put back into the rotation. Maybe nickleback decided to put up some cash so that DC101 didn't "forget" about the song...
Basically, I need to stop being lazy and put more song on my MP3 player.

Basically, I need to stop being lazy and put more song on my MP3 player.i agree, i bought two of their albums and realized that all the songs sound the same. our local rock station did a bit about nickelback and how all of their shit sounds the same. they took little bits of every song and put them together to make a new song and it sounded like it was written that way. it was weird

Fall Out Boy is the same way. I enjoy their CD but every song is interchangable. A friend of mine recently said that he loved that album b/c every song rocked, that's because it's bascially the same song with about 12 different minor variations.
SmootSmack 06-13-2006, 01:58 PM You know who really likes the song Photograph?...Schneed (http://www.thewarpath.net/showpost.php?p=183943&postcount=7) (I knew it was either Photograph or that James Blunt crap that you liked)
Nickelback-(n) A new term coined by TheWarpath.net. Generally a biped homosapien with opposable thumbs (which is probably redundant) who writes mildly amusing posts often until you realize he is essentially writing the same thing everytime (see: Huddle)

gibbsisgod 06-13-2006, 02:05 PM Gives me a good idea for another thread. Who would you guys say is the most "beautiful" celebrity? There's lot who are HOT with the big boobs and all, but we don't pay attention to face since we're looking at said big boobs.you never answered your own ?
Sorry to any Nickelback fans... but man are they just god-awful or what?
I cringe whenever I hear them.
Cock-rock all the way.
BDBohnzie 06-13-2006, 02:10 PM don't necessarily blame Nickelback, but their record label, which pumps dollars into Clear Channel for them to play, ad nauseum, any and all songs. There is a big investigation into this, as most radio stations nowadays do not create their own playlists, but are handed down one from corporate, with emphases on certain songs to be in super duper regular rotation.
gibbsisgod 06-13-2006, 02:12 PM i just bought a cd and its probably not new to the rest of you but its new to me and it was released in '04.
chevelle: this kind of thinkin could do us in

to be fair i have changed the station once cause i also cant stand the red hot chilli peppers, but still, nb is always on somewhere
