GTripp0012 07-05-2006, 01:10 PM I'm surprised that aside from a few on this board, nobody seems to give the Broncos any props. They just got a major reciever in javon walker & the rest of the team was already solid. No way the chiefs can win the division over them. I see KC as a team in slow decline.
I also see Atl. as being really tough even if vick gets hurt since they have schaub.
Overall the nfc is going to be tougher all the way around, but a lot of teams are banking on vets in key positions, including us w/brunell. Health will be the difference come december.I don't think a team lead by Jake Plummer and Ron Dayne will be threatening for the SB anytime soon. They just let their TE walk in FA, replacing him with a draft pick (who they reached on by about 2-3 rounds), and just let the glue of their defensive line, nah their entire defense, jump to Baltimore free of charge. They just paid colossal turd Gerrard Warren, almost ensuring laziness, and replaced the aforementioned Trevor Pryce with Kenard Lang. So tell me, exactly how was this a good offseason for the Broncos?
GTripp0012 07-05-2006, 01:29 PM They are basically picking the same teams that were there last year. I wonder how many times that has happened. Thus fuels my anger at how the NFL UDC was selected. First of all they have 9 out of 12 playoff teams returning from last year. One out of these three teams is Baltimore who before signing McNair, I had as the worst team in the NFL. Now they are merely one of many bad teams. If you want to talk returning playoff teams, why not mention up and comers like the Jags or the Bengals? They have the Broncos, Colts, Pats, and Steelers in the playoffs. I bet on my life that at least one of these teams doesnt make the playoffs. I'd bet a large sum of money that at least 2 don't make it. I went through the schedule and only had the Steelers returning, although I could see the Colts. But dont worry, ESPN told me what to think, so thats that.
But that's not the funniest part of this deal. The Champ games are NE @ Pittsburgh, and Carolina @ Seattle. Sound familiar? That's cause these games HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS. Thank you ESPN for spending ten days telling us that the NFL will be boring and predictible this year.
Oh yeah, this is really good:

offiss 07-05-2006, 01:37 PM Skins I believe will win it all this year, coaching is the name of the game in the NFL, and we now have the best in the buisness along with the talent, the only team I would worry about in the SB would be the Patriots that's one team that has the talent and the coaching to give us a real problem, but my prediction is we wipe the field with the Colt's.
Carolina is the one team that would concern me in the NFC, then Tampa, then Seattle.
GTripp0012 07-05-2006, 01:48 PM I'm not buying the Cards either. Very suspect OL + a fragile, fumbling Kurt Warner does not = playoffs.I am buying the Cards, finally. Edgerrin James is exactly what they needed. The Cards OL was very suspect last year, however no worse than the Colts as far as talent goes. The Colts were #1 in the league in terms of sack given up, and that line isn't any good. Peyton deserves most of the credit, but a lot goes to Edge for his excellent blitz pickup skills, and the threat of running he brought that put more pressure on coodinators to back off the blitz with him in the backfield. With him in Arizona, sit tight and watch the Cards sack totals go way down, and the Colts go up to where they should be with the weak line they have.
The Cards had the no. 1 pass O last year and the no. 32 rushing attack. Again, Edge is exactly what they needed.
D'BOYZ 07-05-2006, 01:55 PM apperently he should be ready during preseason if he doesn't has any complications
70Chip 07-05-2006, 04:07 PM Here are my playoff picks:
NFC
1. Seattle
2. Washington
3. Tampa Bay
4. Chicago
5. Dallas
6. Minnesota
AFC
1. Denver
2. Indianapolis
3. Cincinatti
4. Miami
5. New England
6. Kansas City
There is no way the Giants get a sniff. When they turn on Coughlin it will be ugly.
Moseley_in_the_snow 07-05-2006, 04:55 PM Redskins take it all. I'm thrilled with all of the new additions to the team, they are all very neccesary, but this is Clinton's year. He's hungry, CP and the O-line carry us to the Super Bowl.
Carolina will be really good, but 'Key' is oh-so coverable at this point in his career. Their D will be great, and Jake's leadership outwieghs his mistakes. Never-the-less, I'm planning to be clinging to a lamp-post on a cold DC afternoon in January as the Champs' parade rolls by.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still remember clinging to a lamp post as a 9 year old after XXVI! Welcome to the board.

I think what they really need is a solid QB who doesn't fumble when he's breathed on.
Warner isn't the answer.
Giantone 07-05-2006, 08:05 PM I'm saying this with all honesty,I don't have a glue! Now with that said I want the Giants and think we have covered all our fualts ,remember nobody picked us last yeat either .
I really believe it's a even toss up with all 4 teams ,maybe 2wins differance between 1st and last .:soapbox:
