I'm saying this with all honesty,I don't have a glue!
I really don't have a glue either.

Sportscenter final 4 agree or not?ArtMonkDrillz 07-05-2006, 08:55 PM I'm saying this with all honesty,I don't have a glue! I really don't have a glue either. GTripp0012 07-05-2006, 10:05 PM I think what they really need is a solid QB who doesn't fumble when he's breathed on. Warner isn't the answer.Warner's been successful wherever he's been. 2 MVPs in St. Louis, 5-3 as the QB of the G-men, no. 1 passing O in Arizona. There are about 15-20 teams that wish they had a QB as good as Warner still is. And thats taking the fumbling problem into consideration. Of course they had the #1 passing offense, they had no running game to speak of and they were constantly playing from behind. If he could stay healthy you might have an argument. Trouble is he can't. He hasn't played a full season since 2001. During that time he's been a shadow of his former MVP self with just a 78.15 passer rating, 21 TDs, 25 INTs, and 14 lost fumbles. There are plenty of teams in the league in need of quality starters, Warner is not a quality starter anymore over the long haul of a season. He might be good for about 10 starts, but that's not enough to get a team into serious contention. gibbsisgod 07-05-2006, 11:13 PM Of course they had the #1 passing offense, they had no running game to speak of and they were constantly playing from behind. Moseley_in_the_snow 07-06-2006, 12:07 AM How do the Cards chances for success change when Warner gets hurt and Lienart goes in? Sure he's a rook, but he's as pro-ready rooks get. vaoutlaws2006 07-06-2006, 05:54 AM our these guys serious with this prognatication this early? there are to many variables in the nfl to take this espn depth chart seriously. all it did at least for me was get me hyped for the season and get me signing up for fantasy football. does anyone besides me remember what the "espn gods" said about our skins last season...they picked us to finish last in the division and not make the playoffs. correct me if i am wrong....didnt the skins win a playoff game last year? i think we did. SKINSnCANES 07-06-2006, 07:50 AM The Redskins have already won the Super Bowl. As for who they will beat, I wouldn't rule out the Chiefs. Herman Edwards is a very good coach. They have a great O-line, very good QB, emerging superstar RB, one of the best TE in the league. I think their defense will be pretty decent, as well. If you look at the rest of that division they match up nicely with everyone on a skill level. My playoff picks for the AFC are: AFC East: Dolphins (They got some pretty good tools on both sides of the ball) North: Bengals (They were better than the Steelers until Palmer got hurt) South: Colts (This shouldn't be too hard for them) West: Chiefs (See comments above) Wildcards: Broncos, Patriots NFC East: Redskins (If I have to give a reason then get off this board) North: Minnesota (I think the Bears were very lucky last year) South: Falcons (they're not as bad as most people think) West: Seahawks (someone has to win that division) Wildcards: Chicago, Giants Yours was the closest to my picks so im going to use your format. AFC East: Dolphins - The team to beat in this division, other than Brady I dont like the Pats offense this year. North: Steelers /B] - I think the Bengals will struggle until they get Palmer back [B]South: Colts - who else is in this division? lol West: Broncos - I dont think the chiefs will win 8 games under their new coach and same defense Wildcards: Jacksonville, New England - I picked these two because they have the privledge of being in shitty divisions. NFC East: Redskins - The coaches will bring the most out of what players that are already near the tops of their respective positions North: Minnesota - They have a lot of talent and perhaps now a coach that isnt absolutly horrible South: Falcons - I think their defense is better than Tampa or Carolina, and their offense is definitly better West: Seahawks - The Cardinals still have some questions on defense Wildcards: Carolina, Giants - the wild cards will definitly only come from those two divisions. RobH4413 07-06-2006, 01:35 PM yes I agree, steelers will be lucky enough they have a though division sep cincy (with palmer healthy and protected) and ravens (with mcnair on fold) for the nfc, seahawks will be there, together with the skins (depend on the QB play), the eagles will also rebound and hungry again. Gibbs seems to form his offense so that they don't rely on the quarterback. He establishes a good line, has pro bowl receivers, and his runningbacks are alwasys stellar. I never hear about gibbs putting all his resources into the quarterback. The more I hear that our only position in question is QB the more I feel comfortable that Joe will do it again. Granted if our QB is dismal then we have a problem, but I think we'll be ok. SmootSmack 07-06-2006, 11:18 PM I'm really curious about the Chargers and how Phillip Rivers does. I hear he's been great in mini-camps and OTAs. Don't think they're going to be a top 4 team though. But they might be able to sneak into a wild card spot skinsfanthru&thru 07-07-2006, 12:33 AM I don't see why we don't have a chance against the Panthers if the 2 teams meet up. in fact the lovefest for the Panthers from the ESPN guys kind of baffles me. and I also think the Chiefs could take down a Steelers team that isn't as deep as it was last year. |
