Exactly Moss had one decent season with the NYJ, and after that people considered he was washed up, etc. If you remember the trade with Coles, every Skins fan was pissed and unsure about Moss. The media gave the SKins and Danny Boy alotta shit for such a bad trade. But Gibbs saw potential and I guess that is all that really matters. He saw potential with Lloyd, because of his good performance with shitty QB's. If you compare the Lloyd pickup to getting Moss last year, the Lloyd pickup looks much better at this point in time, so hopefully Lloyd will blossom into a good reciever for our system.

according to football outsiders, santana moss has been crazy good (top 10-15) for at least the last 3 years... WAY WAY WAY above coles et al.

I looked at this list again and I thought that it is really hard to pick a top four. I don't have Boldin in there, I don't have Harrison there.

Really it is Smith first then a pack of about 10 players
johnson
TO
Moss
Moss
Fitz
Boldin
Harrison
Wayne
Holt
Ward

After Smith, it is easy to make a case for almost all of those guys for 2-4.

i'd agree with that. I do think CJ's earned his spot in the top 5 though.

Why is Steve Smith considered the best in the league? Not insinuating that he isn't a top WR but he need's to show me more consistency than having 2 out 3 good years. He may well be on his way to a Hall of Fame career but let's face it he got a lot of looks last year. His performance needs to be equaled this year for me to crown him the NFL's top WR.

I'll take Holt as my #1 receiver with Chad Johnson close behind.

You can't hold the year he broke his leg against him. Go on YouTube and watch his highlights from last year. Also take a look at what he did to Smoot. That will answer any questions that you have. As good as Santana is, Smith is on a whole different level.

No doubt in my mind that Smith had an amazing year in 2005. As soon as I see two, preferably three, amazing years then my questions will be answered. Consistency is my tool of choice when evaluating players.

Harrison isn't even the best WR on his team anymore.
Chad Johnson is getting into the top 5 but he is not there yet.
No arguement on steve smith
Santana Moss has had one (1) year at the Top 5 level. If he can continue to play at that level, he is top 5 no doubt. But he needs to show more than one year.

Reggie Wayne
Torry Holt
Steve Smith
TO

Coming up fast behind those four are,
Randy Moss
Santana Moss
Chad Johnson
Fitzgerald\\\

You're only the best if you play and why didn't TO play last year ?You also need a QB that can get the ball to him,Cowboys are done and it will only take 1 TO blowup.:smashfrea

offensive line play is the key to winning in this league. thats why im so suprised alot are picking the cowboys to win. it takes a couple of seasons to develope chemistry and they are going in with 3 new starters on the o line

i do think 13 may be a bit too low, but you can't argue with most of them. Look what TO did for philly, and they had no receivers at all. Put him with Terry Glen and Jason Witten, they could be damn good. Colts are the colts, cincy, all those teams have proven WRs. Lloyd is young and had 1 decent season, Randel el is unproven as a #2 or #3. I dont think some of the teams, Pittsburg, KC and a couple others should be ahead of us, but for the most part it seems pretty accurate.
